Seven Fates

That girl that writes things you may or may not read. TG stuff, probably. Avatar of my batpony Evening Script by baladeAdvent.

When I looked at all the tags I was expecting this to be another poorly done edgefic, but I am pleasantly surprised so far.

I like your characterization of pre-reform Sunset here. Cold and pragmatic where so many authors present her as straight up cruel and vindictive. I wonder if she still has a temper beneath her professional attitude.

That final line has me hooked for the next chapter, looking forward to it!

I figured it might be the tags scaring a bunch off, but I decided to be straight up regarding the content that was gonna be found in the story. I generally take more care with what I write than simply 'being edgy for the sake of being edgy'. I'm not writing this simply for the sake of disturbing, although some of the content might be a bit disturbing.

First off, I am so happy with your portrayal of Sunset. Finally someone who writes her as an intelligent character who tries to think things through. Too many times she is depicted as this thoughtless cartoonishly stupid/evil who does stupid things for no reason. I know the original movie didn't help, but come on people. So again, thank you.

Second, was it just me, or did anyone read the title and immediately think "shows over innsmouth"? Should I be worried about any lovecraftian vibes?

Nothing like cults regarding ancient eldritch beings. Perhaps something of a sapient, man-made magical disaster.

This is a really interesting premise! And I love your characterization of Sunset as a cold-hearted researcher. Can't wait for more!

At first i told myself i was gonna read this just because of the cover. (You, by the way. Are a man of culture for that cover, i respect it.)

But after reading through the chapters. I'm surprised. And impressed. I'm not a fan of Equestria Girls yet this story is really good!

I am indeed a woman of culture. I really enjoy how versatile that character creator is. Glad I exceeded expectations though.

This is a very good fic that is well-written- but the fact that it's so well-written means the tags are hitting harder than I thought it would. It's excellently executed grimdark, to the point that it would feel a bit too depressing for me to continue reading. Most of the time when I see those sorts of dark tags on a fic, it's cheesy horror that isn't competently written enough to truly make you feel for the characters, which is why I checked it out in the first place.

This story is way better quality than that, so even if I'm stopping reading it, the reason why is really unusual in that it speaks to the story's quality, and... I'm not quite sure what else to say, so I'll end the comment here.

Yeah, when I write on topics such as sexual assault, I try not to make a farce of things. If I had made this somehow cheesy, I'd probably have to retire from fanfiction writing. I understand that this sort of story isn't for everyone, and I'm sorry that you couldn't continue reading. Still, I'm grateful for the praise regarding the execution. I sometimes doubt myself when it comes to execution. "Am I being too ham-fisted?" "Am I being subtle?"
