In the beginning, there was hope. In the middle there was doubt. In the end, there was conflict. But, throughout it all, there were tears.

Well, that was a very sweet PinkieShy fanfic.
Aww I loved this. So beautiful
oof! Pinkie in locked-in syndrome?
auaugh that is heartbreaking
aww, glad that this worked out in this case
very Pinkie, to use emotes in internal monologue
and augh, yeah. if they don’t know she’s still conscious in there, of course they would be very worried about how Fluttershy is living
oof…
aww, a kiss was the cure!
aww, very sweet and beautiful. so happy for them! thank you for writing!
Being conscious while, by all medical indications, your body is in a coma…
Yeah, that’s a living hell.
That said, I have to think that Luna could verify whether Pinkie was conscious… assuming she ever falls asleep and isn’t trapped in perpetual full consciousness on top of that.
True love’s kiss breaking the spell is a bit clichéd, but it’s cliché for a reason; it works. It does undercut the drama somewhat, and the circumstances are a bit iffy—Pinkie consents, yes, but Fluttershy has no way of knowing she consents—but it’s better than a lot of fairy tales in that regard. All told, a sweet tale of perseverance through tragedy and into something better. Thank you for it.
