I really liked how this story turned out. This was my second attempt at writing a story for April Fools. And even then I had to drop the original idea. I wanted the story to be about Pinkie getting banned from Twilight's library. I was going to call it Ban Appeal.

Both times I tried writing the story, it wound up better with the banning aspect removed. The second is what was published as Letters of Lament. The first has been renamed and will come out sometime later.

When it comes to what is and isn't canon, many people seem to get this wrong in the pony community. I'm here to give my viewpoint and explain why I think my definition is the correct and only approach that should be valid.

Here is what constitutes my defining features of canon:

1. Everything officially licensed under the My Little Pony brand is canon.
2. Nothing said by show staff on social media is canon.

We know the full names of Pinkie and Maud – Pinkamena Diane Pie and Maudileena Daisy Pie – but we don’t know the full names of Limestone or Marble.

My suggestion for Limestone is Limestonaria Debra Pie.

My next story is probably going to be another romance, I've started on it, and I'm about 15% done. I've also got a 13 author collaboration that I recently got back on track after a few months delay.

I'm going to try to release two stories this month, I feel like I can do that. I'm trying to finish stories that I haven't written but have covers. This story was one of them, I had the cover done for over a year before I finally wrote it.
