Life isn't going so well for Rainbow Dash. First she gets into a bad crash that disables both of her wings, then she's told she's grounded and becomes forced to stay with Twilight, which in turn leaves her out of Wonderbolt practices. This, of course, doesn't leave her in the best of moods.
But when Twilight shows her the power of the lawnmower and the goodness it can bring, she comes to appreciate the little things about being on the ground.
An entry for the A Thousand Words Contest II, under the Slice of Life section.
... Cute? Yes. But I hated mowing the lawn, and there was never a good side to it. Never got paid enough either đ.
Hmm, not bad for a thousand words. I liked the single point you made and how it wasn't convoluted by other thoughts or interruptions.
This is the funniest got damg thing I've ever read
Mowing the lawn is a euphemism for drugs.

How about 25 hectares of meadow twice a year?
Aww this was such a cute story.
hey the part about the egghead will turn out to be really good, probably!
aww, love Twilightâs excitement about this! and honestly i feel the same way about push mowers, they are so elegant (hate the gas-powered ones grr)
hehe canât believe Twilight got her to mow her lawn just like that! egghead W
aww, Rainbow Dash learning about the satisfaction of a job well done!
aww this does make me wish i had a lawn!
ahaha i donât think i have ever heard this sentence!
a cute little slice of life, thank you for writing!
Dash being in the Wonderbolts yet still using âeggheadâ as a pejorative feels temporally confused. How long has she been reading Daring Do books at this point?
A snack? Iâve always felt pony-made lawnmowers should have salad dressing dispensers.
Ah. That works too. Very sweet little tale aside from that opening hiccup. Thank you for it.
Push mowers may be fun, but it's hard to beat the thrill of starting a gas-powered mower by yanking the cord. (Then again, I bet starting a chain saw is much more fun!)

I always let my grass get at least six inches tall before mowing it, so it looks that much better after I finish. One of these days, I'll get myself one of them ridin' mowers.

And finally, the best thing about using a gas-powered mower: SMELLING LIKE LAWNMOWER EXHAUST!!
