One By One, The Dominos Are Falling · 7:21am Saturday
I'm beyond upset. I cannot fully put into words how beyond upset I truly am.
Still learning to stop worrying and love the writing.
I'm beyond upset. I cannot fully put into words how beyond upset I truly am.
Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that I can't challenge myself in writing worth a hill of beans and one of Applejack's apples. It may be good for some people who like doing it and are good at it, but it's definitely not for me. Never again.
With love and friendship,
Marmy
P.S.: If I do manage to do it again, please exile me to the moon. I hear there's lots of fanfic of you and Luna up there to pass the time!
At the time of this writing, my feed is currently in the "rinse and refresh every ten minutes" stage of Last-Minute Contest Rush. And I hate it, because I have better things to do than to refresh my ponefic feed every ten minutes. Like...uh...read contest entries! Write stuff! Do stuff in real life so my eyes don't melt out of my body!
Anyway, Marmy Report below the break. Marchy Report? Eh, gross, no.
Going to get this done a little earlier, because in T-minus 18 hours I have a Wonderful Precure movie to watch so I can finally see people posting stuff from it and understand the context. Plus, it's been a...well, not a good month, but it has been wild.
February's Marmy Report, below the break.
All day? Try all month. Thank God I don't do this as a job because otherwise I'd be firing myself right about now.
Time for the first Marmy Report of the year, and one of what I'm sure will be quite a few disappointing ones. Below the break.
Well. It sure has been, uh...a year. Can't really find an adjective to describe it. It's just been a year. That's it. 2020 was when we entered hell, but 2024 is when we all realized we were nearly halfway there with no sign of an out.
And yeah, yeah, I know what people are going to say:
But in terms of my life? It's been a year. That sucked. Horribly.
Marmy Report time, below the break.
Hey, you! Yeah, you, the person reading this! Have you recently received a comment on your story that:
Well, didn't a lot happen this month. From Odd Squad's anniversary, to the new Precure season's name trademark being released, to, of course, all the stories I wrote. It's been...hectic.
But then, for someone who has depression, my life is always hectic, because the cosmic forces can't let me have any reprieve.
Yeah yeah, Marmy Report for the month is below the break.
Odd Squad is celebrating its 10th anniversary today.
And while I won't bore people with the story of how I got into it -- because I'm not heartless -- I will say that it touched my life in ways I never thought possible. Hoping for many more years of solving oddness.
This isn't exactly an anniversary fic, but it's about the only thing I have to offer for this hyperfixation on the FiMFic side of things:
"There are still 20 million votes that haven't been counted!"
"Ballot boxes were burned! Some people's votes weren't even counted! Nevada's doing something funky with their votes! Recount! Redo the election!"
"But CBS News is going after Trump for cheating!"
Sit down for a moment. Sit down, rest your head in your hands, and really think about your level of optimism for the country that other countries are cackling at like hyenas.
