Twilight is giving her Pinkie research another try. Pinkie is of course just happy to help. During a visit to her sisters with Twilight Pinkie decides to throw a science party to help Twilight with her research. However as the day goes on Pinkie notices some little wrong thing, but at first she can't figure out what it is. But then Twilight fixes everything even though she said she didn't do anything and it's all okay now. Right?

I'm beginning to wonder... Is Pinkie an emoto-reactive metamorph? Specifically, I wonder if, when she feels good, she grows, when she feels bad she shrinks? We already know that her coloration and mane change radically depending on her mood so why not her physical size too?
Interesting explanation and I wouldn't be surprised if something similar emerges in canon one day.
Personally, I think that the elusive and many-hatted Granny Pie was just a very jolly and fun-loving water-mage. Pinkie, being Pinkie, was probably just imagining that she is so much more, the way any child would with a beloved and talented relative and mentor.
Well, well! So the Pie girls (including Mama Pie and Grandma Pie) all have special abilities! Is there an Equestrian equivalent of the X-factor? Pinkie's a water elemental, Inky is a duplicator (with an interesting 'wrinkle' that she can't reintegrate afterwards) and Blinky is a machine empath/mechanomage.
Like Twilight pointed out, it's a Ponyville thing.
By the way, has she noticed that she's a magic savant and has a turbo-boost mode? I don't think she's in a good position to call anyone else 'weird'. It's just a town of superheroes I guess. I suspect that Celestia knew a long time ago and might have even arranged it. Once again, she proves that she can't help Xanatos Gambits for any reason.
I wonder if Celestia realizes that you can't punish Pinkie with embarrassment?
I can't believe how well you wrote this thing, sure there are errors here and there, but DAAAUMN! Writing Pinkie like that can't be easy.
