Dream Volt

Sequels1

T

This story is a sequel to Twilight's Canterlot: RotE Episode 6

Rainbow Dash and friends are were sent on a diplomatic mission to Griffany, the nation of Griffins across the sea. Then Gilda shows up in a frilly pink dress and Dash laughs her multi-hued tail off. After an apology and a little yelling Dash decides she is going to find a way to have all her friends to get along, no matter how difficult. Yes, she's going to make Gilda respect them. Surprisingly, this is not the biggest disaster of the trip.

Ha! Blinkie Pie strikes again! This time with a magical turbofan-powered airship. It also sounds like it uses a magical control interface that directly hooks its pilot and engineer into the structure and controls rather than using clumsy manual controls.

This could push forward Equestrian aerospace by several generations... or reduce Rainbow and Twilight to brain-damaged cripples fused into a pile of metallic scrap. Still, progress always comes with risk! Let me check to ensure that you're properly strapped in!

Yeah, that would be the sort of irony that essentially is the life of the Mane Six. Random people in their lives turn out to princesses, gods, etc. By the way, has Rainbow got around to mentioning to Glida that they might be the collective reincarnation of the Princesses' mom? You know, the fact that her team might possibly be a fundamental aspect of magic incarnated in pony form and that they all have high-end Alpha-level meta-equine super-powers might be relevant at some point.

Oh yeah, I forgot that Pinkie is a shape-shifter and water-mage with a... debatable sense of body identity. That could make things difficult too.

Poor Glida! She's just been dropped into the mobile lunatic asylum that is Equestria's greatest heroines. Likely, for her it is a bit like someone threw the 'power' switch on reality and logic. At the very least, she'll fear them by the end of the day. Respect is a bit more difficult and won't be possible to force upon her.

I strongly suspect that Applejack is about to go all The Blind Bandit on the Griffins' finest troops. Remember, she literally is Honesty and Rock, so I strongly suspect they haven't got anything this side of a large artillery piece that will much slow her down.

Now... I'm interested about the 'Solar Bomb'. Was that Equestria's equivalent of Hiroshima or is that a slightly distorted version of Celestia reminding everyone why she's the Princess of the Sun. Either way, something tells me that there was an equivalent of the Sino-American War here.

Interesting... IIRC, Rarity transmogrified into fire during her Nightmare break-down. I wonder if all the Mane Six can transform into a living version of their element?

Yeah... she is Magic after all. Basically, the minute she knows how a spell works, of any magic, even that of the other Races of Ponykind, she can duplicate it. So, that puts her straight onto the Alicorns and Discord's power level. He really, really needs to learn not to piss her off.

Sometimes I think that Pinkie's "giggle at the ghostie" philosophy might protect her from almost any psychological injury.

Okay, it's beginning to sound like Derpy is a Time Lady, which might explain why she is collecting artefacts of the Princesses' dad. If he was a god of time and space, he might have left something behind to help the Doc fix his TARDIS.

Am I the only one who heard the slow version of the Star Wars theme playing as Fluttershy tried to Jedi Mind Trick Glida's dad?

Yeah, that's the thing about Pinkie really: imagination magic - she's only constrained by the limits of her mind and her mind has very few limits, certainly nothing concerning reality.

This is going to be a very, very tough sell to explain to Celestia... assuming she stops laughing, that is.

I figure that the 'carrot' is something ancient - possibly a pre-Discord artefact but I'm sure we'll learn more when Celestia arrives with the clean-up crew.

If Twilight isn't having a nervous breakdown about what has happened here, then I'll be shocked.

Yeah, I thought that Celestia had guessed something was up with the Six. Even she doesn't know exactly what is going to happen yet, of course. However, I think that this is only the first step in their ascension. Not just Twilight and Fluttershy either; all of them have great potential, if they allow themselves to see it.

It's interesting, the more I think about it. Rainbow not only personifies loyalty, she inspires it in others, and the others also inspire their elements in others too, at least those in whom there is the potential to feel them. That implies something very, very powerful underlying the Elements of Harmony, something that might even be more powerful than the Celestial Sisters.

Fluttershy should really learn to listen to Dash. You see, the fact that she hates her power practically guarantees that she won't abuse it. It does mean that it's there, though, should the day come when she really needs it. I guess I can see how it would clash with her fundamental nature, though. The thought of that huge potential power over others is so out-of-synch with her kind nature that it must feel like an anvil constantly poised over her head.

Pinkie, I've got a bit of bad news for you. To rule Griffins you need to be feared. I think they'll love you in time but the main thing will always be the fear of your incredible powers. That's tough but you really have to understand that not everygriffin is mentally and behaviourally set up like the ponies of Equestria. Fluttershy realised that, I think, when she realised that Griffins need to eat meat to remain healthy and that their instincts makes live prey particularly delicious for them. Yes, it's horrifying to her but she needs to understand, just as you need to understand, that this is their essential nature and trying to change that would be the act of a truly cruel tyrant.

Oh...

What has she done?

WHAT HAS SHE DONE?!? :pinkiehappy:

2167537 The funny thing about this statement is while it seems silly to me I suddenly realized at this point there is nothing even suggesting why Derpy is immortal, and your conclusion is perfectly reasonable given the limited evidence.

First thing I need to do is go get Twilight. Teleporting this thing back to the palace should be way easier than carrying it, especially for her. It would be so much easier if Celestia would just get off her flank and make Twi an alicorn already. Seriously, what is she waiting for?

:rainbowlaugh: Nice touch...!

That implies something very, very powerful underlying the Elements of Harmony, something that might even be more powerful than the Celestial Sisters.

Sure it does. The Elements are practically what all of Equestria (Equus?) is based on, after all...:twilightsmile::raritystarry::yay::ajsmug:

2167818  Hoofblade of Damocles, that...! :fluttershysad:

Long live Pinkamena Griffon Pie!

I am laughing so hard right now

Pinkie sort of conquered Griffany

:rainbowlaugh:

Hammer time! Friendship Maul +5 fixes all problems. :pinkiecrazy:

There was only that one war.

:facehoof:

Solar Bomb aka Celestia controls that fiery, magical, fusion powered star that gives life to the planet. And you just pissed her off.:twilightoops:

Oh dear. Celestia, did you know?!
