what could make this worse is that if i remember correctly petrification can leave the person awake so if cozy is still alive and awake then what twilight has done could be even worse in both the ethics of it and what it could allow cozy to do. All that needs to happen is for one of the grains of her body to be touched by a magic artifact and all hell could break loose.
Imagine that! An army of cozy glows restored from each grain of sand with a magical regenenoration artifact. Sand can cover a wide area so its possible and would go in line with the thing in FIM where the only villens who dont become a threat again are those who are reformed. I mean the dazzelings were banished then actualy became a problem later and sombra was able to be brought back from what seemed like death.
but yea a story about a cozy glow who now has a good reason and determination to take twilight down could be fun

Her petrification escape was made up to try and justify the whole "grind a pony up" thing. Only through hyperbole of the threat Cozy poses can these things be passed off as the right chose.
As for Twilight going through all of this trouble to distribute the sand around the world... Why? Does she really think that if she just dumps the sand into a lake or something that someone will see it and realize what it is? Seems pointlessly overcomplicated.
Also did Twilight only grind up Cozy? Why not the other two? They're at least just as dangerous as Cozy is, if not much more so since they have actual powers of their own.
