Harmony is dead.
After a long, desperate war, the vile ponies have finally conquered the last shreds of resistance anycreature had to offer. But as their crushed enemies are taken to their homeland in chains and cages, hope, the antithesis to ponykind, remains in the form of three individuals.
Together, they Hope to take back their lands. They Hope to rebel against the wicked ponies. They Hope to free the world, and return Harmony to it...somehow. These days, Hope is all they have left.
But at least they have each other, and with friendship, anything is possible.

If this truly a mirror to canon, the option B is most likely for any non-pony reformed such as the Changelings and option C for any reformed pony such as Starlight or Trixie. As for races such as the Dragons, Kirin, Griffins, etc. Any of the options could apply.

I also like how the evils are switched around, and not just ponies being a little bit more vile because the badguys did something. Seems like the ponies are truly ruthless and always has been, while everyone else was just trying to be left alone, or to change the world for the better. Being an AU this story got a lot more interesting for me.
I just got an idea.
What if, the entire show is just a propaganda in this story?
A story to show how ponies are perfect and spread only harmony across the lands, while in reality they are commiting atrocities.
Maybe the M6 are just actors? Maybe Luna is a broken mare who gave up on the fight she lost a thousand years ago and abstains from the dream realm for the sake of those who keep fighting.
Nice set up to dark versions of the characters. Although now I'm curious, what is the differences between the unique Changeling classes?

Not quite, but pretty much. The Mirrorverse (as far as I know) focused on heroes and villains switching roles, whereas this universe is more about the roles of entire nations and races.
As of now, the story's merely in its baby phase, but there's a lot to come that will probably clear things up.
(Now if only my muse would let me work on this story more often...)
