This is based on a set of stories I've been writing known as the Drake Trilogy. I originally included two of my OCs as a reference to MLP, so I figured why not cross them over and see how a book-length story turned out.

Why'd you make the chapters so short, then?

The early part of the story's mainly for setup. I trimmed all the unnecessary stuff and tried to find what I thought would be good cut-off points for each part of the first act. Each chapter is alluding to a bigger narrative. Notice how the sci-fi tag's been on the back burner for a bit? It's about to come out in full force during the next chapter where act 2 starts. That's when we get into the real meat of the story.
