There's more to the tags here than meets the eye. They're not necessarily referring to the content within the story itself, but the overall tone and mood. The narrative is being woven outside the dialogue until they start bleeding into one another. You can already see connections between the exposition and the characters' personalities. Rainbow feels abandoned by the world because their friendships from school faded over time. Twilight's already making a conscious effort to redirect that sadness towards something more constructive.

The opening intentionally gave off a gloomy, depressing atmosphere. When Twilight first starts talking with Rainbow, they're joking around and having fun, but as the story continues, their personalities will grow and mature. Twilight's goal is to usher in the next stage of evolution. Her friends will help her do that.
