"Everything in the world is either coffee or not coffee."

E

In the Equestia criminal justice system, the creatures are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: The police who investigate crime, and the district attorneys, who prosecutes the offenders. These are their stories.

Swift Justice runs a very professional courtroom. His eyes glare at the offenders in the defendant seat with just the right amount of intimidation, and he has no qualms about telling them to sit down and shut up if they dare to speak out of turn. His judgement is swift and unavoidable, matching each crime with exactly the right amount of harshness it deserves.

However, in spite of all that-

One could hardly call this a "normal" courtroom.

There are days when even Swift Justice is completely floored by the very unusual cases presented to him. But then again, should he really be so shocked, considering who Ponyville's Law Officer is?

How does Swift Justice deal with juvenile delinquents?

This is a decent question. I hadn't thought about that. But I would think that since he tries so hard to make the punishments fit the crime, then depending on the crime, I shouldn't think it's too unreasonable to assume he might sentence them to a trip to the proverbial woodshed.

Or perhaps have it administered in front of the courtroom.

(I recall recently reading a news story from many, many years ago about a spanking judge lol. He was known to have juvenile delinquents publically paddled with permission of their parents in his courtroom for more serious infractions).

Actually, a literal "fits the crime" might work, if be boring. Like making a foal do another foals homework if they cause them harm or something along those lines.

O.M.G....this was HILARIOUS!!!! I love it!

I can also do that. In fact, I might. And I have a good pony in mind to use too. Working on that next!

I'm glad you approve XD it was just a random burst of stupidity so I'm glad it at least makes someone laugh. :rainbowlaugh:

News from Italy: depending on the judge, pineapple on pizza may be illegal. Italian law forbids foods that make people sick, and since we have good taste (best cooking in the world is either ours or French, depending on taste) pineapple on pizza does just that to us.

Interesting. It's one of my favorites actually so I'm kinda glad I'm in the US.

Huh, and here I thought he was going to sentence her to no sweets for a month or something. Then again, that may be Cruel and Unusual Punishment.
