Neat, silly lil story, there totally could be more done with this.
This would be even funnier back before the writers nerfed Flurry Heart's powers (As so many others have been nerfed, ever since the second-season ender, when the writers tasted the forbidden fruit of... Worfing.
) 
Nice little story, all self contained.
I gotta say, Cadence and the princesses are huge jerks in this, but I suppose that would be in line with the finale. Either way its a nice story that does bring up a rather interesting scenario. I wonder if Shining knows about this.
"Four hundred miles north of everywhere, in a land of ice and snow, lies a mighty nation that the locals refer to as the Crystal Empire. The nickname is a bit of a misnomer, as Yakyakistan is even farther north, but, to be fair, the Bureau of Tourism came up with the nickname before Yakyakistan reopened its borders."
I think this paragraph is missing the nickname, if the nickname is supposed to refer to Crystal Empire being in the north. ^^

To me, it makes sense anyway--nerf the all-powerful baby alicorn's powers until at least she's old enough to learn how to control them better and won't accidentally kill somepony. At which point, it's my personal headcanon that Flurry would regain full access to her powers as she gets older, but neither here nor there.
In the writer's defense, they wrote in Flurry's powers specifically with the intent of turning right around and nerfing them again...because as her premiere episode showed, she was a bit too OP for her own good, even by alicorn standards.

Let's just say I really, really, really wanted Flurry to set Sombra's head on fire during the "Beginning of the End" episode and I was most disappointed. Also, if they have Flurry's power truly under control, there's a lot less risk of sudden Cozy-death or Cozy-mutilation, spoiling some of the joke.

The nickname is 'Four hundred miles north of everywhere' (similar to NYC's 'The city that never sleeps'). It's a nod to the fictional Moose County from The Cat Who... series. I've capitalized it to hopefully prevent further confusion. Thank you!

So Cadence you have other options for sitters yet you still chose to free Cozy. A villain yes but still a child and your gonna act like it wasn’t because you secretly care for her. Nah your lying through your teeth. Your a mother and would never wish petrification on your own child so to see if happen to Cozy you just had to correct that.
