1197686 Actually the "apendage" Spike has is not called a "Penis" it is a "Hemepenes" and it is fairly common among snakes and lizards. Dragons are however widely believed to be able to change the form of their "manhood" [you mentioned that] as there are no female dragons they need to breed with other species of females. Dragons can make their "Junk" be whatever shape they need to be able to breed with the other species, In this story i chose to give Spike a "Hemepenes" I think it worked out well.

[Nowhere near a professional, I just got into writing a bit over a week ago. So i expect to get better as I go, I am just glad people like my ideas. I do try to fix any mistakes I just overlook them when I read it to myself
My current project i am pretty involved in, The story is pretty dark but it has a clear message. War is bad, even if your reasoning seems good that won't save everything the war touches from being destroyed. Also it has other messages about friendship through the worst of situations and love, true love not the sappy "Happily ever after" fairy tale love. Also I personally think that that story has my best clop scene so far.
It is about Soarin after the war, He suffers pretty bad from PTSD and several other war caused problems. [Flashbacks,Alcoholism]

One is where God Himself becomes a pony because of a horrid prophecy. He promotes an Archangel named Nova, I think, to the position of God. The elements of harmony become the elements of perversion, and He must stop a tyrant from plunging Neo-Equestria into True Darkness. I'll tell you more later.
