First question: I have not intention of doing Sonic vs Rainbow Dash for a simple reason. Sonic is insanely OP without his Archie comics, and I try to use a character in it's maximum, except in determinated cases, and with Archie comics Sonic is easily one of the most absurd characters in all fiction.
If I try to make it just a race I think the result wouldn't really change, but I can search a little more.
Second question: I do not understand the meaning of the word "biased", language barrier friend, can you explain to me, please?
And I hope you still give this fic a chance.

And as being biased the answer is definitely not on purpose. I want to say no, but I know I can make mistakes, and even if I would never favor one character on purpose, I can't say I will never do something without being aware.
But take Mewtwo for sample. During most of my life he was my favorite Pokemon of all, but that doesn't mean he will always win. I try to stay as neutral as possible.
