This was the opinion of one Twilight Sparkle, personal student of Princess Celestia. Or at least it was, until said Princess decided to send that humbug to Ponyville to oversee the Summer Sun Celebration. Now she has to deal with pink ponies that won't stop talking, dueling Pegasi, and nighttime eternal if she can't finish this on time.
A blend of two AUs. The one is Yu-Gi-Oh in Equestia. The other is a "What if" alternate timeline that kind of snuck into the writing process, so I apologize if that's a turn-off for you.

Didn't expect the duels to be Duelist Kingdom rules there(and very early era Yugioh where the monsters usually have low ATK and stuff)

I just noticed that the human-like monsters like Dark Magician are all ponies instead there.
Not sure how I feel about that honestly.
Pretty sure Nightmare Moon wouldn't allow the freezing part to happen. She was doing Eternal Night so her/Luna's night to be truly loved as much as Celestia's day, not because "for evulz". It would contradict her goals if it ends up getting everyone killed, then no one would be loving her night.
So she would most likely figure something out, heck.. Cutie Re-Mark showed just that in NMM's timeline where Eternal Night lasted for a few years so far and Equestria looked completely fine there. So NMM/Luna must have figured something out.
Really didn't like how Spike didn't get to go(sadly just like what happened in the actual episode).
Like it really did start off on how he will get left out due to he's not a "chosen one"..
Spike may be a baby dragon but he's clearly more "mature" than Twilight thinks(throughout the show shown him in dangerous situations and getting through them. And had gone through stuff where a "baby" clearly can't do.). And Twilight underestimates that Spike is a dragon, who's more durable than she thinks and can freaking breath fire(pretty sure it would help against timberwolves..).
Just bums me out on how the premiere had him not get to go with the girls, he was basically Twilight's first friend and yet apparently he's not allowed to be equals with the girls and bond with them(like how the girls got to bond throughout their journey to the Elements).
Its just really disappointing..
Liked how the Mane 6 sympathized with NMM/Luna there when they read the story there.
Wonder how they think how she felt on how Equestria essentially forgotten about her after she got sent to the moon?
Or the fact after she got sent to the moon, a freaking celebration is happening on the day she got banished where the DAY got more loved and celebrated over the night. While the ponies stay up at night but essentially disregard it while focusing on the sunrise. That sure adds salt to Luna's wounds there.
About previous chapter, I liked the bit about some duel spirits appearing before NMM there.
Hope Luna/NMM's dark powers gets touched on and explored more in this fic.

It just doesn't seem right the writers of the show did that due to Spike is Twilight's first friend but also number one assistant who is by her side, but apparently he isn't allowed to by destiny due to not being a damn "chosen one".. it just hurts.
Like I said, Twilight clearly underestimates on how Spike can handle himself there.
After Nightmare Moon ends up getting blasted by the Elements, I do hope Celestia doesn't act like Luna alone is at fault there.
It didn't sit right with me on her speech to Luna in the episode acting like only Luna is at fault here. I am pretty sure Celestia is responsible for the NMM mess too due to not being there for Luna and not noticing her suffering in time. Both sisters screwed up, not Luna alone.
I also hope the actual issues that led NMM to happen is properly touched on and resolved, since how in the actual show.. its just Luna hit by the rainbow and that's it, she just accepts she's inferior to Celestia and can never get out of her shadow. Like the actual issues weren't properly resolved there. Yeah, Luna is getting some attention now but problem is she still not getting the amount Celestia is getting, it still felt like she's still in Celestia's shadow.

For now I'll be Duelist Kingdom rules. We'll switch over to the more modern rules as time progresses.
And don't worry about Spike. I know he's a lot more mature than he seems, but Twilight still needs to learn that. But Spike also needs to learn that he isn't as mature as he thinks he is. Spike will get his time to shine, he just needs to find his footing first.
P.S. yes, the moon banner is in the show. It can only really be seen in the first shot, bit it's definitely there.

I finished writing the duel sequence back in October, which took about eight hours straight. So I took a day off to rest and recharge, and I haven't gotten any work done since.
When I actually get writing, I can get quiet a bit of work down, the problem is actually getting myself to start writing.
It's 'cited'. 'Site' is for buildings and land and such.
I find it odd you're going out of your way to ponify certain monsters, but you aren't using 'anypony' and 'everypony'.

(Did Luna lost NMM for good? Since it was a problem in the show she lost those dark powers due to Hasbro going "darkness is always evul" crap)
I feel like Spike should really be upset he was excluded from such a important journey and blocked from having the same kind of bond there.

Did loved how Celestia accepted she is at fault too for the NMM fiasco rather than acted like Luna alone is at fault.
If only the show did that, both sisters messed up rather than Luna alone.
I am mildly disappointed that the video at the end wasn't the MLP:FiM credits with the Yu-Gi-Oh intro/outro music.

Sorry to dissappoint you, but the videos I use for the opening and ending themes are just stock videos I found on YouTube. If I had the skills to make my own credits I would do it.

Since one problem with the show is how they kept having Spike getting excluded from the Mane 6 hard and missing out on a bunch of stuff.
Like despite he was by Twilight's side all his life, he is suddenly blocked due to 5 mares Twilight only know for a few days having a stronger bond with her than his case with her.

They get a little repetitive after a while. I understand you're concerned about his character, BUT I and any other authors you might read need you to trust us to write the characters well. Expressing your opinions and concerns is fine, and some authors welcome that. But if it gets too repetitive then it can feel aggressive.
