RuinQueenofOblivion

Dashite forever!

T

Duel Monsters has become popular in Equestria for awhile now and the Crusaders along with their sisters and friends have become interested in the game. However after the completion of a tournament in Manehattan, the Crusaders get drawn into a war that they didn't expect against a cult that worships a wicked form of light.

But will they be tempted to join the dark side completely? Or will they keep going strong?

Ooh, me likey. Shiranui is a really cool deck that I always wanted to try. Unfortunately, I only have 2 Shiranui cards. ^^;

Another cool deck choice. I definitely didn’t see that coming, though it is fitting in an odd way. I have high hopes for the future of this story. Keep up the good work!

8814598 Yeah, been wanting to make fun of that for awhile.

Actually it would have been funnier if she had said, "You steal one marriage when you're high and no one will ever let you forget it."

Best reason I can come up for the dumb ads deal

nicely done; also, curious question: if the "Amazons" that Applebloom is using now used to belong to Applejack, what's the latter using these days? Rather, are we going to see the big sisters of the CMC dueling at some point?

8824005 Excellent question, I haven't decided what decks they use yet.

If they do duel, then it won't be the main focus of the fic, maybe some side duels tied into the plot but that's it.

8824031 I was mostly focused on figuring out the Crusaders' decks, and even then Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle's decks actually changed from my original plan.

8824039
fair enough; I mean...

Sweetie Belle's decks actually changed from my original plan.

...wait, really? I mean, I guess it makes sense, seeing that it isn't the most obvious choice, but I personally think it fits her: musical cues in regards to Wizard of Oz, robot references in regards to Star Wars, and costumes that her sister would enjoy in regards to both of them, not to mention the Sith vs Jedi thing being a play on Josh Scorcher's "future super villain" thing in regards to this particular CMC member, as well as hinting at the Apple family pseudo-dynamic we got in "Sisterhooves Social" in regards to her pony counterpart

sooo, yeah: I really have no complaints about any of the decks we've seen, as you've already explained why the other two are the way they are; admittedly, I AM a bit curious to what Sweetie's deck was originally supposed to be, but it's not THAT big of a deal breaker for me

8824318 Lightsworns was actually the original plan, much like with Scootaloo the original plan was machines.

8824325
ah: that makes sense, and I can understand see why you changed it to what it is now; in any case, you seem to be covering your basis fairly well, so you'll get no complaints from me; in other words:

8824330 Yay :yay:.

Though, partially it was because I just really like both Shiranui and Kozmos, they're two archetypes I love using... mostly because I am a colossal nerd in relation to the latter. Still, I figured out how to make it work, with this idea of decks that build on each other and work together well, which all three of their decks do, reflecting their bond as friends.

8859710 Yeah, I wanted to go with a more unconventional deck.

"And I get to banish him to special summon one of my spaceships, so welcome to the field Kozmo Forerunner!" She continued and a spaceship with a circular front with a long window and x shaped wings appeared (2800/1400).

"Huh, I wonder if it finished the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs," Scootaloo said with a chuckle.

Pretty sure you described Forerunner as an X-wing Fighter, not the Millennium Falcon.

8865332 No, its based on the Falcon, I know its weird.

For the next evil duelist, I recommend either Zombies or (my personal favorite) Fiends. Those two types just speak to that dark, evil side of me, so I love playing them. Especially when I get to use Dark Necrofear.

8860257
I have a Fiend deck that I'm working on that works best with a bunch of monsters in the graveyard - considering how two of the rarer cards I have in there are Dark Necrofear (can only be special summoned by banishing 3 Fiends from the graveyard) and Chaos Necromancer, it makes sense.

I also have another card in there that is only level 6, yet has the potential to be the strongest card in my deck in terms of attack power since its ATK becomes double the ATK of whatever monster I tributed to summon it. And since the average ATK in my deck is 1800-1900, that's a lot of points.

I have just created a recreation of Slate's deck, with a few of my own personal touches. It seems to be working pretty well... except when my opponent pulls out Slifer the Sky Dragon or something.

Sad to see that this story hasn't updated in a while. Is it dead?
