Perpetually finding ways to pack a kayak into a sedan

This is a prequel to Colts Don't Need to Talk as part of my Pip and Rumble universe. No knowledge of that fic is required to read this one though.

With both of Thunderlane's parents thinking they are right, the family dynamic breaks apart. In an attempt to save it, Rumble and Thunderlane are whisked away on a very emotional road trip.

Trigger warning:
This fic has very real themes and realities behind family and divorce coming from a mixture of my own and my friend's experiences. If this is a volatile or delicate subject for you, please consider avoiding this fic.

This fic is a concept piece right now, but I would love to turn this into a full fic. I want to see how it goes before going further into the story so please drop a comment about what you think, it would mean a lot, thanks! I hope you enjoy!

An enormous thank you to OkemosBrony, eye-cfox and Javarod for being my amazing editors/ Proofers. All authors I would reccommend.

A good start and a well made cover. Judging by their mother's reaction, it sounds like this vacation will backfire

Pity that you cancelled it, I was really eager to see how it would go.

I don't plan on making a habit of it and it was a hard decision to come to but due to the lack of feedback received, low attention and just overall drive to continue this, I thought it would be best to just let it go and focus on more passionate projects.

Uh-huh. Maybe you continue it in the future, who knows, only time wil tell.

Since I've finally gotten around to this, I'm going to keep an eye on this one. Sure, I may know how this is most likely going to end, I think this will be a good way to give character development for a situation like this.

nice to see it alive again. I guess Rumble is aware of his parents arguring, but not to worry, your brother will make sure you will have a good time.
