That was an enjoyable first chapter. I especially liked the chemistry between Braeburn and Silverstar, their interactions throughout the first chapter showing that their relationship will likely blossom into something more meaningful, which is fitting for the romance tag. The relaxed tone was great at setting up the story's introduction, setting the tone for their conversations and the possible struggles they may face later on. The only problem I had with the story was that the introductory paragraphs felt a bit slow, and it could've benefited from introducing some of the characters or some of the story's conflicts prior to the saloon's descriptions. However, since it helped establish the setting, it's nothing that's too objectionable.
Regardless, I'm curious about where the story goes from here. I'll be sure to check out any future updates, and I wish you the best of luck on your future projects.
Very cute. I'm looking forward to where this will go, and I like all the little continuity nods you've spread throughout. The conversation felt a little stilted at times, but only briefly, and both characters played off of each other well. This will be a fun read.
You know, I don't think I've actually read a homosexual fanfic between two males. I have no idea why, since I'm not adverse to the idea or sexuality in the slightest.
