6743104 Ah this old story... I honestly am not entirely happy with it. I had a much more detailed version of this laid out, but I had to cut it down to meet the Contest requirements. Though, given what I know now, I think I could still do a better job on it than what it is now.

I'm glad you liked it. I personally feel like this story could have been considerably better, but I suppose it did what it was supposed to do. I just wish it hadn't originally had such a strict word limit, or else I could have included more from the original draft.

That does seem like a limitation from the word...er, limit, yes. It could have benefited with a chapter at the games for Bulk and Flutters to bond further, along with Rainbow wondering just what their deal is. (Speaking of, I can't imagine how it would come up, but a real good test for him would be the butterfly wings Rarity had at one point.
This was a sweet little story and actually provided a great explanation for why Bulk was good enough to join the Reserves and help with the tornado, but then later visibly struggled with flying. Great interplay between him and Fluttershy, and a great sister moment from Rainbow and Scootaloo. Kudos!
