Gustauve

The middle child of 17 children, I was born on a farm in a little town in Thuringia, East Germany in the year 1985. I served in the Bundeswehr for 10 years, and now live in the USA with my wife.

Sequels2

  • EBorn of Rage: Memories of a Father
“I just met with my father a few hours ago... Senility has stricken him in his waning years – he couldn’t even remember who he was half the time, much less recognize me after thirty years.”

  • MBorn of Rage: Night Terror
The truth of the ultimate fate of Fluttershy is no less tragic than that which had befallen the people of Equestria. Yet to know what truly happened to her, one must also hear the harrowing tale of the little-known "Battle of the Bloody Timbers".

10/10 in quality of descriptive writing. It melded well and told the point. Good show.:moustache:

Ach, danke. I didn't honestly expect anyone to comment so quickly if at all! Danke.

Nice to see another Godzilla story that doesn't try to radically change Godzilla's character and being so he has to like the ponies when he would at the least be entirely indifferent to them. Keep up the good work!!!

4013442
Danke. I've already started on the next chapter. Like I said before, the story will continue regardless of all else. I'm just happy to see that people already like it.

A godzilla story the way it was meant to be, and in a place that can't stand up to him. Awesome, though I wonder if any other monsters will show up later on

Thank God for an author with no qualms for just killing off every pony there is! Cannot wait to read the next chapter! But seriously, Godzilla attack on ponyland? Pure amazing idea when I play it over in my head.

thank you dude for showing earth is ruled by no pony

Thank you all very much. I've already got the third chapter half-way done, and because you have been so encouraging, I suppose I will warn you that Princess Cadance will perish in this upcoming chapter, and Shining Armor will slowly die from radiation poisoning over the next two or three; I'm still working out the draft chart. If this scares you away, then I understand - I just thought since you were so interested in the story, I'd give you the heads up.

Cool, go ahead and do what you do.

This is good so far. I love Godzilla how he used to be not caring about people just there to destroy. Later they made him a protecter but I never really understood why they did. Then they redid him making him like he used to be. I can't wait to see how things turn out keep up the good work. :rainbowdetermined2:

That was so epic I'm practically in tears.

And the ponies were worried about Nightmare Moon...
They have no idea what's coming. (And it will send them back to the Stone Age!:flutterrage:)
And I see what you did there with the boat's name.

May they know fear born from the titan of destruction and quake in terror as the skies darken forever with his great shadow!

Intense!!! I am looking forward to seeing how Twilight handles watching her brother waste away and what drastic measures she may try to enable to save his life. Keep up the good work!

this reminds me of final fantasy x Godzilla is sin

:rainbowderp:...Whoa...

A little heavy, I know. It will only continue to get darker as time goes on. Such is the nature of the beast.

4025372
Actually, Twilight isn't going to be able to do anything for her brother. This will do more to damage to her spirit than anything else. If things pan out on my storyboard correctly, I intend to create the tortured genius of Dr. Serizawa out of her.

4013623
No. No other monsters will be appearing in this story. This is the Genesis Event of Godzilla made manifest in ponyland. However, I am inclined to create a follow up story that will take on the mantle of Godzilla versus Destroyah - the penultimate Godzilla story to follow the original.

4033803 Oh, I'm fine with dark.
Stephen King is my favorite author.

Yes. This is properly good. The original Gojira film remains my favourite (THAT's how you do a monster film!) and I gotta say the upcoming Legendary 're-boot' seems to have captured that dark, gritty element with focus on the human reaction rather than "look at these monsters having a fight". Needless to say you've achieved said gritty element here - love it!

Yeah, Equestria is not in a good place right now...

Looking forward to more from this one!

Eh, you marked it as dark so character death isn't a big surprise. Though I would like to point out that you used 'ruins' instead of 'runes'.

I wonder what ideas any of the ponies may try to consider in trying to defeat Godzilla? Will they first go for the Elements of Harmony only to find a flaw in their plan or will they try it out only to see it ends up not working at all? Keep up the good work!

I really want a scene when some Chameleons (either the survivors or some from the "faithful" islands come to Canterlot and try to warn Celestia and the other ruling classes about the oncoming disaster that is Godzilla. Keep up the good work!!

The middle child of 17 children! :applejackunsure:.... Well...

4110618
What exactly am I supposed to take away from that statement?
You find it hard to believe or imagine?
You find some sort of explanation out of it?
Ja, I was born the middle of 17 children to a Catholic mother and a Lutheran Father, on a poor farm in the poorest district of the poorest state of Soviet controlled East Germany; My childhood was nonexistent and I've had a hard life. I'm a violent temperamental man who would sooner beat someone's face in at the slightest provocation than to 'talk about my feelings'. I'm married to a woman who is too good for a bastard like me and I have a horrible feeling that I'm bound for damnation despite the fact that I have a genuine faith in Jesus Christ. My friends are few, my foes many, and I despise most of my blood-kin. I've been in two wars and I've been shot four times, I suffer from PTSD and I have a drinking problem. I don't blame others for my lot in life, and what I do have, I've fought for.
I am a man. An imperfect one, but a man nonetheless.
I hope this clears up any sort of nonsense you may have encountered by such a trivial little fact as to how many brothers and sisters I have.
And if I come off as hostile, it's because I'm in a bad mood at the moment, so let me apologize for the hitherto statements I have made.

(Geez, even people who are drunk can outdo me in drawing skills. I am officially the world's worst artist.)
This chapter, I like it! I was curious abot the Chameleons. I think you have invented an interesting race.

4111235
Danke. I'll put some images of them up as well. I've got a few dozen concept pieces and storyboards. I work in cartooning, and it's sort of a habit to make concept art for my stories. Anyways, thank you for the nice words, and I'll be sure to make more at some point.

4111341 You're welcome, and I look forward to the art.

4111058 I was just a little surprised. I didn't mean any disrespect. It's just that in America family's don't have that many kids much anymore. I am truly sorry if I offended you In any way. :twilightsheepish:

This is better written and more poetic than 90% of the saccharine drivel on here, man. You definitely deserve a fav.

4111235

No, my friend. I'm fairly certain that I can draw worse than you can. I barely have any fine motor skills, being the knuckle-dragging Neanderthal that I am.

4119064
I appreciate that. Danke.

Seriously, man...this is a pretty unique take on the series. The Chameleons are actually interesting of their own volition. I wouldn't mind reading about them even if they had nothing to do with the series. Looking forward to reading the rest of this.

Godzilla vs unicorns.
O-O-O-OVERKILL.....(echo)...KILL......KILL....ILL..
seriously this is like Liberty prime VS an ant.

Weak to the elements?= were good.
Immune to the elements?=we're fucked.

4111235 I read the word chameleon as charmeleon for a second... -____-

Good drawing of Godzilla man. Just noticed that goz'ra sounds like Godzilla. My idiocy knows limits.

What Godzilla design is your Godzilla based off?

4148296
... Um... The only Godzilla design?
I don't know what on earth you are asking.
If you mean what era I'm using, then I can elaborate. I'm using the Showa '54 (Original) body with GMK temperament and Heisei '94 (vs. Destroyah) size.

4144885 I am gonna go back to watching tpp

4152817 ...Is it bad that I don't know what TPP is an abbrieviation of?:applejackconfused:

4135819
Thank you for your input. I certainly never expected people to actually like the story. Though, a word of caution: you may not retain such notions by the end of the story - there are no happy endings in the world of Godzilla, and I don't intend to change that fact.

4143708
Ja, I appreciate the feedback. As for the your other comments - Ja, this will be a one-sided affair in terms of confrontations, I'm not a big fan of Russia, having grown up under the boot of soviet oppression in East Germany, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by elements but I can assure you that as the living embodiment of atomic destruction Godzilla is in fear of nothing save his own power, and while I assume you are referring to the Pokemon and not the Andalusian wine company, I can understand where the confusion comes from - the human mind has this nasty habit of always reading the first three letters and the last one and subconsciously filling in the rest with the closest word on hand in its biological memory banks... What this means is that you think more about the classic Game Boy franchise than you do the classic color-changing reptile.

4154940
I have those pictures done... I'll post them up later today, along with the next chapter, if all goes accordingly. I've been a little busy doing fieldwork on the south farm, and I haven't had the time to properly sit down and sketch until last night, so please forgive me for their rushed quality when you see them.

To any and all other people who have taken the time to read my story: Danke. While I don't particularly know why you all find it agreeable, I can scarcely complain... an author always likes to have feedback, and having made two children's books, I can attest to how warm a positive review can make one's soul.

Until next time; Auf Wiedersen
