There has to be something form their past for the little colt to be so protective of his sister, even against kind ponies like Lightning Twister and Scootaloo. Especially something bad must have happened to the sister more than the brother.
However, a sweet and beautiful thing for the colt to do for his sister by singing her a lullaby.

I CALLED IT. I KNEW IT FROM THE MOMENT SCOOTALOO SAID SEE WASN'T FELLING GOOD FOR A COUPLE WEEKS.
the fact that you brought back lightning's father was a bit of a turn off. and also I find that you use the SHOCKED expression a bit too much. but other than that I'd give this a 9/10 so far.
