That was a completely normal, in character and appropriate way for Fluttershy to respond. I didn't expect that!
A good fiction is what ties up every loose ends by the last chapter of the fiction. The problem now is that there is one big rope you haven't tied. You haven't explained about Applejack's apparent powers in depth, how it came to be and why.
