For thousands of years, the dark god Izrador, the Shadow in the North, sought to conquer Equestria. 100 years ago, he succeeded. Princess Celestia is dead and the Nightmare Queen rules from Canterlot in the name of Izrador. Orcs occupy the nation. The ponies are enslaved. Princess Twilight Sparkle, Celestia's last and greatest student, leads what resistance remains from the Everfree Forest.

Do my eyes trick me?! Is this what I think it is?! A World of Midnight crossover?! It is! I can't believe it!

I love the Midnight setting, it coming in a close second to Dawnforge. One my best games I ever played of Pathfinder took place in that wretched world- but it was awesome. I played a dwarf who hired the other players to tag along with him to his old homeland to unite the clans and drive out the Shadow and orcs. The game, unfortunately, ended fairly early but I still got my hands on an army of outcasts who dubbed themselves the Chant, do to how I fought- I had a level or two as a bard I think and my mantra as a psionic creature (no class levels, just psychic mantra feats) -it was simply put awesome.

Anyway, good retelling of Midnight's backdrop; I love it and I usually hate story retelling where they just replace everything with ponies. This though really does a good job of setting the stage. I just wonder now how the plot is going to unfold- I'd love to see Twilight, with the help of some unlikely adventures, finally shattering the barrier and some classic D&D deities going mad-dog on Izrador. Just my two cents.

Keep up the good work- I am watching and waiting.

Another chapter? A good one two. I imagine, at least from reading this, you are going to give us a sampling of each of the Elements lives and then go into them fighting the Shadow.

On that note poor Applejack, I can't imagine how she feels. In my game I would have probably resisted til my dying breath- but on that note I have a legendary presence among GMs for suicidal characters.

Good one. :trixieshiftright:
Speaking of, I wonder where Trixie is.

MORE!!! Please, this is an amazing story!

this is disgusting, what you've done with Luna is terrible, I don't believe the entire population would submit and I hope this story gets cancelled

I'm not sure you've been reading this, or you might have noticed that they haven't. Also, you might wish to wait to see what actually happened between Luna and her sister before you make that call.

3735941 Cry harder. He can do whatever the hell he wants; it's fiction of already fictional characters.
