This was... an experience, to be sure. The story itself was actually quite funny, I thought. Never even saw the "twist" at the end coming.
And, for some strange reason, the very last line made me tear up a little.
Well the ending made me smile, thank you I needed that.
Short, but good, though the twist end was the only part I found genuinely entertaining. There are very few things more adorable than Tiny Twi and Spike Tyke.

Heh, it wasn't really supposed to be funny, per se, but looking back on it, I can see how it would come across that way. It's just filled with medical drama cliches. Oh, and I'm glad that last line had some emotional impact. That was the intent, but I was worried that it wouldn't really have enough weight.

Mm, yes, probably because the ending was the only part that was semi-original, the rest is mostly comprised of a bunch medical drama cliches and contrived scenarios. But yes, Twifoal and BabySpike need more love. I rarely see any fics about them.
