Er, yeah, sorry about that. I was in a huge rush when I tried to change them and ended up with only 2 chapters left. By the end of tonight there shall be no more need of WTFing. Chapter 10 is typed. My editor and I are having difficulties in communicating due to a large host of issues. I am working on it. We made time to meet, then something went wrong, then we made another....and it's kinda gone on from there. Issues all around...........

I have a guess on where exactly that is in terms of our world. I can guese that the foundations of their civilizations were built upon the ruins of the Human Race, after much time of course. This can be gathered by the news article speaking of Nukes, San Francisco, and the UN. Furthermore in the facility is a 'Incinerator' and neither quite seemed to know what it was. Using this information, and the gathered observations about its location and description, along with the items within the facility, to be the North American Aerospace Defense Command, far more commonly known as NORAD.
I could be wrong, and likely am, but that is the conclusion i have drawn.

3563539 Their magic apparently doesn't work on the white thing, and it's giving off radiation. Maybe some form of self-sustaining nuclear fusion reaction? If it's being contained via large magnetic panels and is emitting radiation that's my best guess. And maybe some kind of extremely powerful magic to keep the reaction self-sustaining? I would think that if something like what I'm describing used magic to keep it going, then something would probably be done to it to prevent outside magic sources from effecting it. That way it's less likely for it to go out of control.
Also, anyone else had the thought that this might be the lab where Slendy and the ancestors of ponykind were created? After all, the word "incinerator" (which I'm guessing was what they did with all the trash in the facility) was in a written language that Luna didn't know. And we know that Slendy can kind of read english, (or whatever language that newspaper clipping is in) which further points to this being a human facility. Plus, ponies don't sound like the kind of creatures that would use something that gives off large amount of radiation as a power supply. Humans on the other hand...
Or maybe this was a facility that tried to recreate the project that made slendy and the ancestors, but instead they created whatever those corpses were. Provided that the corpses were real and not some kind of illusion. Though slendy would probably see through such an illusion.
