Vignette Valencia is the worst person Wallflower Blush has ever met. She's vain, petty, materialistic. She's the kind of person that shouldn't exist outside of horror stories about social media influencers.

She's also easier to talk to than anyone else.

Struggling with conversation at the best of times, Wallflower finds Vignette's existence so baffling that it's impossible for her to be uncomfortable around her.

In other words, it's a pretty terrible place and time for a renegade student of Princess Celestia to find herself. But Sunset Shimmer is nothing if not determined and resourceful. She will bend this world to her will.

That's the plan, anyway. Given how the heliocentric model is still a few millennia away from wide acceptance, maybe she can settle for finding happiness.

Wallflower Blush's Birthday is today, and she has nobody to celebrate it with. She's used to everyone completely forgetting about it really, so who cares if nobody's there to celebrate it. Then why does she feel so miserable, and what is Sunset doing here?

Sunset Shimmer, who is catastrophically out of Wallflower Blush's league, has come back to town for the summer. Sunset is very kind and attentive. She likes hugs. She keeps coming up with cute little inside jokes. She stares, piningly, when she thinks Wallflower isn't looking.

So, it would just be very easy for Wallflower to get the wrong impression.

Which is why she was happy when she stumbled across a way to know the objective truth about how she and Sunset measure up against one another.

A last-second entry in the Sunflower Shipping Contest.

Sunset asked Wallflower on a date, and Wallflower is in a panic. What could the coolest girl at Canterlot High want with her? What do they have in common?

But it may not even matter, because Sunset is late and Wallflower suspects a trap.

Sweet and sour slice of life romance. T-rated for occasional profanity, jokes about spanking and mind control fetish, and mention of some films you definitely don’t want to Google. There isn't an archive warning for depression and negative self-talk, but there's lots of that. No self harm tho.

Those things are just about the only consistent elements at Canterlot High School.

Wallflower Blush decided to take some time to reflect. After school, she found herself working casually in the gardens. She didn't expect to be bothered. And she definitely didn't expect that bother to be Sunset Shimmer, which made it a possibly pleasant surprise. It might be good to have someone that's finally willing to listen. The fact it's Sunset makes it a bit ironic.

Forgiveness is usually a certainty in relation to Sunset Shimmer. So why is Wallflower having such a hard time?

Sunset Shimmer was too late. Before she could convince Wallflower Blush to release her friend's memories, they were lost forever. As she confronts Wallflower, and takes the Memory Stone for herself, she contemplates what she must do... and realizes, maybe she's not worth being remembered.

And now it's time for Wallflower to stop her from making a horrible mistake.
