At least this time she won't be alone, as you offer to lend her a hand.

This shorter story is based around that idea, along with a brief look into a ghost's existence.

While this story does revolve around Vinyl's death, I'm aiming for a bittersweet ending, so bear with me.

Opaline Arcana has sowed dissent and anger across Equestria. With the nation divided, Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends are struggling to contain the ambitious alicorn. If something isn't done soon, Twilight will have no choice but to store Equestria's magic into the Unity Crystals, putting all of ponykind at risk.

Before that, though, Twilight has an idea. There's a prisoner locked away in Tartarus that was forgotten by history. He might be just what they need to stop Opaline. However, letting him loose could spell disaster for Equestria.

It's a risk she has to take.

Ember Scale, a traditional kirin, has spent two weeks observing the strange two-legged creature that appeared in their sacred forest. Following ancient courtship scrolls to the letter, she initiates the formal rituals of kirin courtship - bringing carefully selected gifts, performing precise movements, and maintaining perfect poise.

There's just one problem: anon thinks she's an adorable magical pet collecting shiny objects.

Equestria is full of wonders, and one among them spent his life defending all others and now, at the end of his days, as his soul ascends the roots of Yggdrasil to the golden halls, he finds himself called upon again to see many more. Truth be told, a peaceful oblivion might have been preferable.
