I was playing Spider-man at the time, and Norse Horse was too punny for a title for what I have planned.
"The tribunal of savagery" is a pretty fantastic title. And considering all the good No-Name's friends have yet to do, it's a very good thing he went chimera-wrestling.

Don't care. The fact whether or not that character had a health bar or not is irrelevant. The previous God of War series all had a silent Kratos that walked with a fricken angry purpose. When he talked, he was fucking angry and wanted to fuck shit up. Now we have an 8 year old bitch constantly yacking your head off and Kratos sounds like an old fart even though he is an immortal, unaging god. Some of us do not like even the thought of babysitting or clingy fanboy third wheels hanging on our coattails, whether we truely are having to protect them as an ingame mechanic or not. They also took away the Blades of Chaos for most of the game and replaced the blade with that boomerang treecutting headache known as the frost ax with no fucking reach. How could I fight with that shit? I won't, that's what, cuz smart folks don't give their financial backing to bullshit.

Kratos was still angry, but old man angry because he mellowed out after finding a wife. He still gets pissed off and loses his temper at people throughout the game and he still talks angry because he's an old man who is on some BS vision quest when all he wants to do is go home and be a hermit. Atreus talked a lot, but Kratos still told him to shut his mouth when he got annoying pretty often and I wouldn't for a minute call him a "clingy fanboy third wheel" since the two of them had so many fucking problems and Atreus fights with his father constantly. And what do you mean the axe had no reach? Throwing it like a bladed yo-yo was one of its most powerful and effective moves in the ENTIRE game, especially during the arenas in Muspleheim or the Valkyries.

now that I think about it shouldn't a human from a different reality altogether not be part of the pact of protection baldur has placed over him? given that humans dont exist in this version of reality they wouldn't be part of the spell because they wouldn't have been there to make the promise just like the mistletoe wasn't.

For sake of drama, the magic spell granting Baldur his invincibility will be handled slightly differently in this setting, but will be explained later
As for the explanation of your point, yes and no. "Humans" as a conceptual idea would not have been effected by the spell (unless Sleipnir encountered humans before, which is a possibility I suppose), but everything he could use to hurt Baldur would be effected by it. Steel in swords would be effected, the rocks he could pick up, even "flesh" if he wanted to strangle him by hand, is something that ponies have and would be effected by the spell.
