When Applejack and Rainbow Dash wake up, hungover and in the same bed, they've only one question: how can we get even? A day spent tormenting their friends by turning one of their hopes on its ear pays off, but not quite in the way anypony expected.

Equestria is broken. Its leadership, crippled. Many have paid the ultimate price to fight the endless changeling swarms. Now ponies hold a desperate last stand against the onslaught.

Twilight Sparkle has a solution.

All it would take is one last sacrifice.

The requests come in, the paintings go out, and the Bits arrive later. That's the shaky system "Rainbow" has managed to work out for herself. A life lived through letters is a little lonely, but she can at least be certain she'll never be seen by someone who recognizes her copypasted face.

You'd think a Rainbow Dash replica would remember that Twilight uses Spike for everything mail related.

This is an entry in the Snippet Series, an anthology of old oneshots that I (and my good buddy Str8aura) wrote based around interesting pics I found. New ones will be posted every Thursday for the foreseeable future.

On an otherwise ordinary day at Sweet Apple Acres, Rainbow Dash unexpectedly demands the use of Applejack's barn for a day. Of course Applejack agrees to help out, but something's up; Dash is trying to handle everything herself, arrange for the Apples to be out in the fields, and doing her best to make sure neither Rarity nor Pinkie even hear about the whole thing. With her suspicions rising by the minute, the farmer goes to confront her friend and discovers something she never suspected...

While out practicing, Scootaloo misses a jump, and Rainbow is curious to know why. Scootaloo admits that she's distracted by something a classmate has said, and now she's wondering.

What is beauty, anyway?

Just a little Scootafluff one-shot written for (and winner of!) Weekly Contest 26.

Toby, local human, and Rainbow Dash often spend a quiet Friday evening getting pleasantly sozzled because why not? It's a nice thing to do on a Friday evening sometimes, some friendly drunkeness between friends.

Of course, getting sozzled can sometimes impact one's decision-making abilities, and lead to certain decisions being made that normally wouldn't and probably shouldn't.

This is probably one of those times.

Rainbow Dash was the Iron Wing. She was a war hero, the Slayer of Shadows, the Liberator of the Crystal Empire, the Wrath of Celestia. And depending on who you ask, she still is.

But the war is over. There's little need for a pony like her in peacetime. So she keeps telling herself that she needs to adjust, that she needs to find a new role to fill in the world that she saved. But Equestria seems content to let her remain what she has become, even though they have no need of a warrior.

"This isn't how it's supposed to be", is something she keeps telling herself. But every time she says it, the only thing she can reply is, "so what should it be?"

One whole year after the close of the war, and Rainbow Dash still doesn't have the answer.
