"Um, Sunburst? Look. I was visiting your sister and... uh... things have gotten kiiiiiinda weird. Like, seriously, get ready to be an ape weird."

Once upon a time, in the mystical and whimsical Land of Ooo, there lived two self-proclaimed sisters. The oldest, a Demon tied to the Setting Sun, and the other—younger by just a few years—a Vampire Queen.

Together they could do anything. And so, they embarked on an epic quest: To bring the sickest, gnarliest licks their guitars could produce to the unsuspecting people of Ooo.

And possibly save the world if they felt like it.

The demon knows this is not her home, that she seeks something she cannot leave without. But she can remember so little else...

Midnight Sparkle and Demon Shimmer - the shadows of Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer. When your host resists you however she can, there's not much you can do but cringe at the sight, and wait. Wait, wait; and wait some more.

Surely if they'd need to kill their time, it wouldn't come to them getting to know each other better.

After all, they were not the same as their hosts. Right?

All know the story of the pirate ship, the Crimson Heart and her cursed captain, a monster forced to haunt the seven seas until the end of time. All know to steer clear of the blood red sails, lest they run into hell itself.

Few know of Neptune's Blessing, a magical item that can grant whoever holds it anything their heart desires.

Twilight Sparkle knows both tales are not fiction. Though the last place she thought she'd ever be is on the Crimson Heart looking for Neptune's Throne where the wish awaits.

Sunset Shimmer lives a nightmare every day. She's ready to shed her monstrous form, and Twilight is going to help her one way or another.

But they aren't the only ones after Neptune's Blessing. The high-speed race across the seas begins as every flag seeks to claim the wish for themselves, and be crowned King of the Seas.

They whisper and slowly, they're taking matters into their own hands.

After a long day of school and work, Sunset Shimmer just needs to unwind. Fortunately for her, her demonic counterpart is willing to help.

(Set before the events of Dear Twilight Sparkle)

Anon-a-Miss. The cyber bully that tore apart the school worse that Sunset Shimmer herself. What was supposed to have been a week spent with her best friends was instead a week spent in sadness.

Sunset finally breaks down, believing she is all alone. Like before, she'll have no family to spend the Holidays with. But with some help, she remembers that someone was with her all along.

Written mostly in one take by yours truly with minor editing. The second part I mostly threw whatever thought entered my head first, so sorry if it's confusing.

Fifteen years ago, the corporation that owned them ordered to hunt down their counterparts hiding in an old, dead world. A decade and a half of their virtually eternal lives later, the corporation has been silent, and their targets still evade termination. Is there truly nothing else for these murderbots to hope for the future?
