When you’re snowed in, you’ve simply no place to go. Mayor Mare and Cheerilee find themselves in such a predicament on Hearth’s Warming Eve. But, rather than succumb to panic, the two old friends make the most of it and reconnect.

One could say that Ponyville is a sanctuary. Another could say that Ponyville is a place for discovering one’s hopes and dreams. Scootaloo was a young Pegasus, beautiful and unique in her own ways. She had no Mother or Father to help her along. Her friends were always there for her, but her depression often outweighed their efforts. Her nights were spent alone with no pony to comfort her. Happiness was only found when she thought of her one dream coming true, to fly as high as the sky would let her. She wanted nothing more than to be like her hero, Rainbow Dash. It was a dream that could not be made a reality however.

When the annual Kiddie Kite flying competition comes to Ponyville, the CMC are eager to participate. They enlist Starlight Glimmer, and with her aid, seek to make the largest kite Equestria has ever seen.

Spectrum Analysis is an ace detective from Manehatten, and his assistant Eye Spy still has some work to do. They both are in for the case of their lives, when the mayor of Ponyville calls them in because a criminal known as the "Cutie Mark Killer" is striking down on innocent ponies. Every Monday morning, a picture of a cutie mark is hung on the town hall door, and by Sunday evening the bearer is dead.
Spectrum and Eye team up with bearers of the Elements of Harmony to take down this villain. The only problem is that they have no idea who it is. The killer seems to leave no trace of evidence behind.
Will Spectrum and his friends stop the Cutie Mark Killer in time?

Mayor Mare sits alone in the Town Hall. The years have taken their toll on this once proud pony, as she withers away behind a desk. She will either overcome these personal demons, or she will succumb to them.

Mayor Mare writes her mother a letter, one that she had been meaning to write for many many years. Great tragedy often encourages us to do the things we have been putting off.
