Rarity is not quite what she seems to be, as Caramel is soon to learn upon entering her shop one cold winter's day...She can be a bit...persuasive, and a bit more cold-blooded than he's expecting...

There aren't many things in whole of Equestria capable of truly angering the gentle Macintosh Apple. Were somepony to ask the stallion, he could very well recite all the instances that had happened - and all of them were either world-wide catastrophes or millennial prophecies.

Even then, he could simply forget it by letting his mind lose itself in the day-to-day farm life. It was a simple solution, as life would prove time and time again.

But this week seems hell-bent on proving just how sheltered Mac had lived his life. An unfortunate chain of events following another, the Apple stallion will be forced to face his present phobias, future frights and past phantasms.

Big Mac has been working the farm much more lately, putting much of his time towards it. One day, he gets a surprise visit from his coltfriend and decides to spend a little extra time with him.

Everyone dreams of a happy life. And in a world of multicoloured ponies, magic, and manufactured rainbows, it seems possible that everyone can have that. But for some, unfortunate circumstances can stop that pursuit dead in it’s tracks, no matter how hard they try to push on.

Caramel is a pony who finds himself in that situation, even if he doesn’t want to admit it. But when something is standing between you and the life you need, it can’t be buried forever. No matter how hard you try. And Celestia does Caramel try.

Everything starts somewhere. Under the bark of a great tree you'll find where a sapling once began. The same can be said for all forms of life that to find out who they truly are, or where they began, you have to start at the roots. Deep in the soil they grow, and eventually blossom.

Caramel and Big Macintosh have been dating for a while. Two years to be exact. They've fallen into a routine of dates, romance, and finding time just to be with one another. Settling down might be seen as a negative to some, but it's comfortable for the two of them. The Apple Family reunion approaches quickly, set to take place for the first time in Appleloosa. Mac debates the question if he's ready to introduce Caramel to his extended family, and to take their relationship to a more serious level. During this, Caramel struggles to deal with an appearance of a letter on his doorstep. It's a letter that reminded him of the roots he abandoned, but never forgot.

Prince Blueblood is sent to Ponyville for the day, and just can't get over his hoity-toity attitude, even when the rain starts to pour down and he's seeking shelter. Only a certain Earth Pony is willing to offer him protection from the storm, and maybe, just maybe, it'll get the Prince to start seeing Earth Ponies in a different way.

Caramel likes Big Macintosh.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack are romantically involved.
