The Life Aura Center is one of Equestria's top medical research centers, the producer of spells and medicines that have cured many once-fatal illnesses, and they continue to produce quality technology and cures. No one wants to think that they're doing anything unethical, but Celestia has her suspicions, so she sends Twilight to investigate.

One symbiotic pairing with an alien later, Twilight realizes Celestia was right to be suspicious. Now, working together with the strange creature inhabiting her body, Twilight will have to expose the center's shocking truth. And not get killed in the process. It's gonna be a wild ride.

Things are stirring, dark things that hail from the olden days.

Torn by wars, the country of Equestria is a singular beacon of light amidst a dark world, filled with Hive, Shadow Magics, and a Shattered Empire. Amid all of this, Twilight, whose magical power could spell both disaster and salvation, has set herself on a dangerous path.

An Alternate Universe. Canonically, this starts before everything in the show began. This is inspired by numerous sources, but primarily MLP (duh), Dungeons & Dragons, Destiny, and a conglomerate of other videogames and movies.

To properly start this tale, we most clear up a few things.
First: You must keep an open mind, lest you get lost within these endless words.
Second: This tale has been told over countless generations.
Third: There are many things that aren't... quite what they seem.
Fourth: Before the beginning of this tale, a changeling queen made a deal to preserve her dying hive.
Now, before we can get to space pirates and hydras, we must first start with a single ship as it entered Equis' gravity well...
Hello. Before you read, keep in mind this is the accumulated writing of a 'simple' role playing group. I have done my best to turn it into a coherent story. Shining was sure this was going to be the best campaign he'd ever run. He only needed to make sure the players had a clear understanding of the rules. But that couldn't be too hard, could it?
