A dark, extradimensional force has latched onto the time and space around Equestria, and has started a dark campaign to make its inhabitants suffer. The Elements of Harmony, usually the go to for situations like this, have no effect on this threat, and as such are threatened themselves.

The Abstract Spirits, members of a larger family of spirits that include the Elements of Harmony, seek out champions from other worlds to aid them. Those fighters, who have been through horrible experiences and come out stronger as a result.

Claus, Isaac, Michael and Edmond.

These four humans, from four very different Earths, and different ways of life.

Empowered by their Abstract Spirits, and given powerful Element Guns that channel the powers that define the world, these brave individuals will join the Mane 6 and stand against this unfathomable evil.

There comes a turning point in every civilization where the future is dictated by the smallest decision.  Be it the will of a king or the cascade of changes by a commoner, it rarely matters the source, only the outcome.  So it was that, shortly after banishing Nightmare Moon, Celestia envisioned a world that could have accepted, loved, and embraced her now lost sister; an Equestria that had to cast off the simplicity of agrarianism and stanch traditionalism.

Instead of relying on the old ways as a bedrock for the six tenets of harmony, Celestia pursued this vision by lauding the advancement of magic and technology.  Over the centuries, cities of marble and stone were replaced by steel and glass. Family farms commercialized, business and trade expanded the world over, and the streets brimmed with cars.  The nobility long since traded away the power backed by titles for influence via companies. Megacorporations now dominate the skylines of every Equestrian city, yet Celestia still holds fast to the reins of true power.  Her word is law.

Even centuries after Nightmare Moon’s banishment, harmony is still in the bedrock of Equestrian society, yet one must dig to find it under so much soil and refuse.   There have always been those that chafe against the law and give lip service to harmony. Be they the rich and powerful figureheads of industry, or the scum of the underworld, there are always things these ponies in power need done discreetly, or at least deniably.  Sensitive matters such as these are often handed over to a class of professional criminals as diverse in their skills as they are in their ideologies. The Shadowrunners.

Note: As with my Beyond Equestria story, I am taking a lot of elements from the Shadowrunner series, but it will be written so that anyone unfamiliar with Shadowrunner can understand what's going on and enjoy the fic.

There's a mystery ailment effecting all of Ponyville and many beyond. Nopony knows where it came from, how to stop it, or even what it is; everypony's symptoms are unique.
As if that wasn't enough, one night, the very ground beneath their hooves decides it'd like a field day. It's not everyday that the road falls out of the sky. Perhaps fortunately, the airborne roadway is a little easier to investigate; there's a rather convenient tunnel in the bottom of the crater it left behind.

This story is a sequel to PaP: Bedtime Stories

Earth has faced terrible things since the Event transformed all living humans into ponies and scattered them across time. Equestria's own demons nearly wiped out civilization more than once, and devastating internal war nearly finished the job.

But now the worst threats are gone, the weapons ponies created to survive them are more dangerous than ever. The superintelligence Athena now rules the world, absolute authority over all civilization. With her power and intellect, she drives the survivors towards greatness, regardless of the body count along the way.

But there are ponies who resist, who yearn for something better. Jackie is not one of those ponies. But maybe they can get her help. It isn't like they have anywhere else to turn.

A ponies after people story. Requires knowledge from 'The Last War' to the end of Bedtime Stories to really make sense, but not necessarily full coverage beyond that.

This story is a patreon commission for the wonderful Lightfox Lowell, who provided the general premise. Editing by Two Bit and Sparktail, cover by Zutcha. Thanks to my wonderful support team for making this insanity possible.

Updates every Tuesday.

When Humanity met Ponykind, things went poorly for Humanity. Ponykind eventually won, but a Unicorn named Prancer blames humanity for every death in the process, and especially for the problems Equestria ran into when the war was over. Surely, humanity's evil nature must have rubbed off on Ponykind! That's the only explanation she's willing to accept. Determined to set things right, she travels back in time, and sets out to solve the problem by turning herself into a magical virus designed to "Take the evil out of Humanity", while making them stronger, smarter, and more magically powerful in the process.

What could possibly go wrong?

Disclaimer: The story's protagonist hates humanity, I do not. If you hate Prancer, or think she's an arrogant prat, it's because you're kind of supposed to. She blames humanity for Equestria's desire to from-a-certain-point-of-view semi-genocide humanity, man, and she decides the best way to fix the solution is to magically "Fix" humanity before Equestria sees it. I don't agree with her views, philosophy, or methodology. Or her quickness to assume that if Ponykind does something she doesn't like, humanity must be to blame. This is a work of fiction, any resemblance to any characters, people, or worlds, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.

Remember, TCB isn't anti-humanity, it's anti-TCB humanity. That particular future version of humanity that destroyed its own planet and has no future. In this setting, choosing to remain a human and die a human would make about as much sense as a human refusing The Doctor's aid, refusing to get into the TARDIS, and choosing to stay on earth and "Die a human" by dying when the earth is swallowed by the sun. Same goes for trying to stop The Doctor, or in this case, Ponykind.
