Two souls who found each other, and rekindled their relationship, so late in life are getting married, and the wedding is surely going to be a grand event. Both Cranky Doodle Donkey and Matilda have led long, eventful lives, and that's led to a long and varied guest list.

One such guest is looking at a wedding invitation from his first ever friend. He's going to go. He can't not go. But one little request, one added specifically for his invitation, has him stopping short. Four little words chilling him to the core.

With Hearth's Warming drawing nearer, few ponies are kept quite as busy as mailmare Derpy Hooves with as she fulfills her numerous deliveries and responsibilities to the residents of Ponyville. At their behest, however, the wall-eyed pegasus finds herself trading her winter garb for summer duds as she takes some time off work for herself this holiday season.

Little does she realize that certain strings are being pulled together behind the scenes, culminating in a holiday surprise that Derpy could never have expected!

Pinkie Pie utterly fails in befriending Cranky Doodle Donkey and just has to accept it.

The deepest gem mines were there before Equestria, and so were the donkeys. Every facet of their way of life, from its trials to its triumphs, has stood unchanged for eons.

Mica knows this. She also knows accidents happen; the last one took her parents. Hopefully she and her twin sister can survive the next.

Long ago, before the Elements of Harmony saved Equestria more times than most ponies could count, two unlikely friends wandered the land. One was a donkey searching for a long-lost love, the other a gigantic sea serpent with a taste for grooming. Together, they forged trails not even the bravest explorers dared traverse and learned secrets long forgotten by modern ponies.

One fateful day, the two came to a lonely town on the Equestrian plains. "Windvane", the serpent called it. The signs promised a one-of-a-kind spa and quaint sabbatical from their journey, away from the heartaches and pains of the past.

But not all promises are kept, and the two friends soon found nothing could be the same ever again.

Due to a Pinkie-related mix-up, Twilight et al end up sharing a vacation with a thoroughly unimpressed Cranky Doodle Donkey and a much more laid-back Matilda. Yet it's hard to stay mad for long in a city full of national treasures, exotic hybrids, and glorious histories.

Unless, of course, a pair of criminals decide to wreck up the place. Saddle Arabia is not all romance and sightseeing, after all. And it's not just thieves and bandits that make life difficult; the local constabulary are net exporters of difficulty in and of themselves.

Continuity: This fic is set during the middle of Season Three.

A donkey adores his lawn, to an almost obsessive degree. On the day that the local lawn contest qualifiers are set to begin the unspeakable occurs. That glorious green lawn is damaged, with no time to repair it before judging. However impossible things are not always such, for the right price anything is possible.

How far will this obsessed lawn owner go for his green perfection? What price is he willing to pay for a miracle?

When they were younger, Rarity and Cheerilee joined the Ponyville Knitters League: Rarity to keep her skills going, Cheerilee to find her cutie mark. Well, that and it's the done thing when you're an aspiring fashionista.

However, both have to question their attitudes when the President of the League announces a contest. After all, one should have a purpose already, and one is still looking for theirs.

When Batty, formerly a middle aged brony who found himself inserted into Ponyville as a young Bat pony filly roughly ten years prior to the thousandth Summer Sun Celebration. Thinking that it would be a good idea to introduce Pinkie Pie to Cheese Sandwich when he first comes into town, Batty finds out the next day that she had inadvertently inspired them to become travelling Party Planner Pony Partners.

Batty now finds herself desperately trying to fill the missing role of Laughter before the inevitable return of Nightmare Moon. As the only Bat Pony in Ponyville.

And she is driving herself... Batty...

Loosely related to Distorted Resonance, with the SI protagonist appearing in Ponyville as a Bat Pony instead of a Unicorn, and adopted into an OC family instead of becoming the foster sibling of one of the Mane Six.
