Dr. Rare is set in Pony Village, a place located in the distant past of Equestria where ponies co-exist with all sorts of interesting animals and creatures. In this village lives Rare Belle, an inventor. In the first chapter, he manages to build what he hopes will be the world's most perfect little filly robot, named Sweetie. According to Dr. Rare, her being a robot is supposed to be a secret. However, despite her being a hyper-intelligent android, she turns out to be a bit naive at times. Later on, she has multiple adventures such as bringing a huge bear home. To Dr. Rare's credit, she also happens to have super-strength. This story focuses on Sweetie's true childhood, and her misunderstandings of the world around her right after she's constructed, as well as Dr. Rare's ridiculous inventions, rivalries, and romantic misadventures.

Based on the 1980's gag manga Dr. Slump, the following fiction is an adaptation, and it focuses primarily on outdated jokes and questionable themes from Japan that some may find offensive, and/or discomforting.

Equestria is sometimes referred to as the land of second chances, all the more so after Luna's return. Songs are sung of Princess Celestia's benevolence and forgiveness, and legends are told that she can look directly into a creature's heart and see whether there is good in them. Others whisper that she is soft, and weak, and will let anypony off with a slap on the wrist.

Neither is quite true, but there was quite a firestorm of rumours when she decided to set Discord free. Many would like to know what precisely she was thinking to attempt to put a leash on a being who could plunge the land into chaos with a casual thought, but Celestia has kept the reasons close to her chest.

She's pretty sure nopony would believe her anyway. Sometimes the truth is stranger than rumours.

After the Nexus Shattering and his brother Jason Thunder being thrown to some unknown universe, Zachary Pyromaniac travels to different universes to seek out the Shards and his brother. On his way to collect the second shard, Pyromaniac meets Zachary Dearest, an alternate version of himself from the Friday Night Funkin universe as well as the Dearest family who agree to help him. As the others try to find Jason, Zac goes to find the remaining shards. But one of the universes he goes to is not what he expects it to be...
