Getting There!

Travel insurance is a useful thing to have if anything bad happens to you. If your flights are messed up, if something goes wrong with the hotel, etc, it’s travel insurance that’ll get you your money back. Most importantly, it covers medical costs where you’d have to pay for that sort of thing.

But I’d be fine. Nothing was going to go wrong.

A lot went wrong.

Read It Now Reviews #37 – Let a Smile be Your Umbrella, Change is Good, Gone So Long, Today, I Marry My Best Friend, Tell Me Lies, Tell Me Sweet Little Lies · 7:10am Jul 7th, 2015

I’m not a huge fan of sweet or sappy stories.

Somehow, today, I stumbled into five of them.

I really need to watch my step, or else I’ll end up looking like the crusaders after one of their misadventures.

Still, even so, I found something to like.

Today’s stories:

"It was the year of fire..."
"the year of destruction..."
"the year we took back what was ours."
"It was the year of rebirth..."
"the year of great sadness..."
"the year of pain..."
"and the year of joy."
"It was a new age."
"It was the end of history."
"It was the year everything changed."
“The year is 2017.”
“The place… right here.”

Welcome to blarg town, population us.

This day is taking longer for Penny and her friends to get through than any other I have written, I think. Well, maybe excluding some of the ones in the Crystal Empire. Onward though, because there is a date in Genevieve and Sablee's future, as well as a wedding further down the path of life.

A Change in the Wind update · 9:10am Aug 12th, 2020

Okay, so when I said I'd update this whenever I felt like it, I didn't actually intend to wait quite this long before writing the next chapter.

Regardless, for those of you who remember this little fic, chapter 11 is written and posted! Hopefully there'll be more on the way. I've still got a few bigger projects to work on, but this one will always hold a special place in my heart.

Read It Now Reviews #112 – Fifty Shades of Toast, Numbers, Why Do We Have Guards?, As Long As You Both Shall Live, Iron Rider Rangelkai · 12:41am Oct 27th, 2017

Sometimes I feel like the journey of a thousand miles doesn’t start so much with a single step as with rolling a rock over the top of a hill; it is hard to get it to the top of the hill, but it starts getting easier to push it once you get over the crest and it really gets rolling down the other side.

It would certainly explain a thing or two about me.

Bronycon Festivities Farewell · 1:18am Aug 11th, 2019

Blogging about conventions is a lot harder than a lot of people make it look.

The short version that it was a pretty amazing weekend. I met lots and lots of fantastic people, gawked at a perpetually-dabbing Mare Do Well fursuit-wearer, had a drink with one of my internet besties—I didn’t like the drink, but it wasn’t about liking the drink—and overall had a fantastic time.

Here's the long version.

Fluttercheer and the Path to Patreon..... at long last. · 1:29am Jun 5th, 2019

It's time to do this. It has been a long time coming. And I would have done it much earlier already if my writing skill hadn't suffered so much since Spring 2017 that it needed almost two years of recovery to get to a point where I can trust the quality of my writing again.
But now the time has come. I will do what countless pony authors have done before me and open a Patreon account to get financial support for my writing.

Progress Update · 5:08am Aug 25th, 2019

So, some good news for once!

I’ve got some chapters done (especially one super chapter that’s acting as a side story to “Elements”, which is going to be part of an anthology). However, I’ve got some art I need to do for a few stories that are to be posted. That may take some time... Hopefully I’ll be able to get it ready soon.

To sum up, I’ve got:

- 1 One-Shot story done

- 1 New Story with 2 chapters done *Needs title image*

- 1 New Story with 1 chapter done *Needs title image*

If you've read the latest interview from the Royal Canterlot Library, then you already know a bit about the story I'll be talking about. But what you might not know is that before I had a FimFiction account, I liked to read stories on the site still, and was fairly familiar with a few things and locating the Good Shit. This was a bit before I started writing, and the beginnings of the

My lovely editors believe that the next chapter of Lover of the Moon needs a bit more polish (and I'll begrudgingly admit they're right), so here, have the next chapter of Children of the Sun to tide you over!
