The deadline has passed. The concepts are in and have been reviewed. Before I announce the winners, though, may I just say how thankful I am to everyone who participated. There has been, genuinely, not one OC that was badly made and it was honestly very difficult for me to choose the eventual winners. You all did a great job! 
Recently, Serketry introduced me to the Ponyville Mysteries novel series (I had already read the -confusingly- similarly-named comics), and we both concluded that the Peryton Panic novel was an excellent candidate for an EC story. We decided to make it more of a "side" story with less of a focus on the Mane Six and episode-critical events; and more of a focus on OCs going on an adventure that, while still dangerous, wasn't balancing the fate of the world or even especially
Ladies and gentlemen, we have passed 8.000 words!
It is going to be the longest chapter of the story, which means we are insanely close to hit 100.000 words in total! I am so excited about this, as it will mean it will be my longest story on this site. 
At any rate, I had imagined the chapter would hit 8.000, and I am in the ending line now, just finishing up. I hope the chapter will be released today, though if not, it will be tomorrow.

So, as you may have intuited from my previous blog post featuring cover art by incomparable pixel-wrangler and all-around amazingly nice guy NadnerbD, my novel-length mad science everypony crackfic Contraptionology! is getting a full-on paper version, containing fewer typos but the exact same number of dated early-fandom and pop culture references!
I have been monitoring my views for a while now for both blogs and stories. It's actually quite easy when I have little to no traffic on my page. Yet, on almost regular basis, my blogs and stories will get a view or two per week. Being fully aware that opening blogs and stories myself will add another view, I have been avoiding to do that. So I doubt it's all my doing. Still, even if the views go up, I never receive any comments or votes. (Up or down) It doesn't seem to matter what the blog is
So I just published a new chapter for Only Time Will Tell, you can go read it if ya want. It exists and I plan to add another soon. As in like within a week or two. More likely one than two. It's no Even Stars can Fall in terms of romance, but it's kind of a fun adventure thing I'm doing in the same world involving my favorite pony Minuette. Anyway, I'm gonna do another push to work on stories again, wish me luck on that.

-Start up S3 (the final season of my AU) at some point
With the completion of The End of an Era's eighth main chapter, and the whole story's second part, I have cleared up my current schedule for typing up fan fiction pieces, along with some concept documents unrelated to Pony stuff. For the rest of the month of March, and part of April, I intend on taking time away from writing My Little Pony material in any form, just so I can feel as mentally rested as i'd like to be in the eventual process of crafting the Part 3 chapters. I'm sure many of my readers have noticed that I have not updated any of my stories in a while. Though I have no intention of canceling any of them, I am putting them On Hiatus. This is less because of a lack of inspiration and ideas and more because of too much inspiration and ideas for new stories (including an idea for The Lunaverse, a Changeling Reveal story, and 5 Alternate 6 AUs). This is why I often make new stories instead of continuing stories I've already started.

Bored, so thought I'd waste your time as well by writing this, just a general rounding out of plans for the year. Might be interesting.
I have full time university study once more this year, but its my last year and I have all the core units for my double major done, so its electives allllllllll the way. Half of them only have to be 1st year electives, so super easy too. Hopefully this will have me writing some more! So be happy.
Now that Ashes is out of the way, I'm set to tackle three projects. Two of these are of the "crowd-pleaser" variety, which most of my followers will likely enjoy, as will most arbitrarily-selected bronies.

I'm trying to finish my mega-project before Bronycon, but it's driving me nuts. I'm starting to second-guess myself on it. I'm actually pondering completely undoing the past four days of work because I don't like the results of one particular segment of the project.
