IN WHICH I PONDER THE END MAYBE
So this hit Youtube with a bang yesterday and I only just around to watching it. You should too.

I'd like to give my thoughts on this and parallels to myself after the Read More, if you will…

Burnout · 3:00am Nov 29th, 2020

Anyone else just completely burned out on existing? It's not one specific thing, just y'know.

Everything.

Burnt out on video games since I have been grinding basically non-stop in Destiny 2 for the past two weeks.

Burnt out on school due to distance learning and difficult topics with little support because I can't bring myself to go to office hours because of pride, depression, and time conflicts.

Burnt out on interacting with my family due to the quarantine.

Tired. Wishing I Was Writing. · 1:31pm Jul 24th, 2018

Pretty much what it says up in the title. In recent months, I've been feeling almost incessantly tired. My imagination has taken a hit, and I'm not feeling like the same person I used to be. Several associates of mine elsewhere on the Internet speculated that I'm dealing with a case of burnout, and I'm inclined to agree. I admit that RL issues, primarily financial ones, are a contributing factor on top of that.

Scrap Basket not updating this week · 3:14am Mar 19th, 2016

Part of this might be burnout: I've been writing several thousand-word chapters almost every week since the start of the year and I'm a little tired at the moment. Also, there's something I want to focus on with Agate, since it has something to do with a later chapter. However, the way I'd intended to do it requires you to have a level of familiarity that I haven't given you, and the original way I'd intended to do this just wouldn't cut the mustard. I've tried to brainstorm an idea, but

Burnt out · 1:41pm Aug 23rd, 2021

Okay, so.... I've been sitting on this desk for the past two weeks thinking to myself how do I continue with the Soldier and his Rider's new chapter? Turns out, it has been going well until I reached a rut. I've exhausted myself with the story currently and now with classes over for me and a new DnD campaign that really pumped me up with the mood (and with a lengthy discussion with my sister (Happy Birthday, btw)) I've decided to take a break from The Soldier and his Rider and try to focus on

I Finished the RCL List from 2013-Aug. 2014 · 8:52pm Apr 30th, 2018

Way back in August 2014, when I first joined this site, I put every story that was in the Royal Canterlot Library at that time into my "Read Later" list. For a few days/weeks, I read all of them at a steady pace. Many of them I enjoyed, some I didn't, but they were all very interesting to read.

Then, at some point, when there were three stories left, I stopped.

Burnout! :raritydespair: · 10:07pm Jun 23rd, 2016

I'm trying to finish my mega-project before Bronycon, but it's driving me nuts. I'm starting to second-guess myself on it. I'm actually pondering completely undoing the past four days of work because I don't like the results of one particular segment of the project.

Elaborating on the SunLight Burnout · 11:40am Feb 3rd, 2020

Hey all,

As I said in my previous blog post, I planned on getting around to explaining the burnout on what was previously my OTP, SunLight. I've talked to a few people about this to make sure I have all my ducks in a row, so to speak. I wanted to make sure everything I say here was what I wanted to say, and that I could be as concise as possible. Still, it's gonna be a thing either way, so lemme explain.

Sorry for my recent absence; just been feeling a bit burnt out on Pony in the wake of the JJJ event spam.
On the upside, I've been focusing a bit more on my original stories as a result, which I personally consider a good thing.
So yeah
I'll probably be more active again in a few weeks, give or take, but right now I'm just going to drop by on occasion
I haven't even watched the new episode yet. RIP

The Writing of The Bonds of Love (Chapter Six: Stagnation) · 5:09pm Apr 16th, 2023

From one of my favorite chapters to my absolute least favorite…

I’m not gonna mix words here: I hate Ch.6(Stagnation). I have no qualms admitting Ch.1(Transition) and Ch.2(Reprieve) are worse written, but this chapter in particular was the one I had the worst time actually writing, and it was for one specific reason…

The Magic of Bitching · 3:15am Dec 22nd, 2015

Right, so this blog will be me simply bitching. There seems to be a sort of magic that comes when I talk about things that bother me. They tend to go away. So by talking about it here, I hope to clear the air with myself, my writing and my writing of clopfics in general. Hopefully by doing so, I can empty all the excess bullshit that been filling my head and focus on posting fics.

Recovery is Pony Horror · 1:41am Oct 7th, 2022

So, in my last blogs I talked about recovering from the hardest burnout I've ever gone through, a debt accrued over seven years. I realized most of that really was the drive to monetize my work. It shaped everything I had been thinking about my writing for years, now, in subtle and unsubtle ways. Becoming financially stable through other means let me massage all those knots and work something out.
