(This post started as a reply to Magicolt808, but then I found I was rambling and I decided that I have my own blog for that.)
I'm fairly new to this fandom, I've been involved for about two months. The last fandom I was in was tiny. It had about 15 active people in it, and maybe another 30 lurkers.
This is an unusual fandom in that its fanfic segment is male-dominated, so something I've been asking in a few places lately is: who are your favourite female writers in this fandom? Only people who have publicly mentioned being female, please.
Hi everyone,
Today I thought about the fandom and the show and I realized something: even after all the years I’m still proud to be a member of this fandom and I still love the show and the fandom. I know that over the time people left the fandom because they started to hate it, haters attack us or called us names and, from time to time, even the media is against us. However, I couldn't care less about all that
Sethisto recently posted "On Racism in the Fandom, and Equestria Daily Going Forward". I made a few comments on that along the lines of how maybe, y'know, having Nazi crap in the fandom wasn't the best idea and, also y'know, maybe having people who loved posting Nazi crap in the fandom wasn't the best idea either. Naturally this was considered a terrible threat to freedom of speech by some, hence
TL;DR: I finished watching all of Star Trek: The Original 60's Series. The 90's series is better. But the 60's one has probably left the bigger cultural impact. And I offend every Trekkie I know with uncultured opinions.

If you look for pony things these days there rare to be new on sites like youtube and most popular bronies have left the fandom or have stoped obsessing about it which depress me deeply.
This website is one of the few places left full of pones and sutch ;-;
Long live Fimfiction.
I read the news that the block feature on Twitter will be removed. If that comes true, there's a slim chance that the 2 people from the Balan & NiGHTS fandom who treated me unfairly will see my tweets, even though I didn't mention their names.
I chose this as my first (second if you count my announcement) post, as it is important right now.
For you to know beforehand:
I am no M.D. I don't counsel on professional level and I am no law expert.
And I only can give you one advise - take everything I say with a grain of salt, check for yourself.
Also - I will delete comments, if they are just insults or threats.
I don't mind political correctnes, I don't mind offensive stuff. It's your reputation after all.
Back in 2011 I had like 13 or 12. I can’t remember the details but a friend of mine from messenger recommended me to watch a relatedly new show: my little pony friendship is magic.
Like you can guess I had my prejudices, but trusted that he wasn’t joking and he told me to have a open mind, so i decided to watch it.
It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.
For starters in that time I only had a laptop instead of a computer and for some reason had problem processing long videos.
Netflix is taking My Little Pony off of their service effective the 16th of August. It feels... all so final. But don't any of you worry I have no desire to leave the fandom. These little ponies have saved me in more ways then I can say. So while Netflix may be dropping, and the show may be ending.
The fandom isn't.
...So go watch all the pony you can before its gone!
Yeah, I'm doing the thing.
These posts seem to be in vogue today, not because anyone wanted them, but out of necessity.
Maybe you're sick of them, maybe not. Well, here comes mine. If you don't want to see it, I completely understand if you just click away, and I will never, ever hold that against you. These aren't fun to read, and I imagine many of you are just here for the stories. That's fine, and I'm kinda the same way myself.
So I’ve been reading things.
Unless my plans change, I'll be going to BABSCon 2016. This is the Bay Area Brony Spectacular 2016, and it's being held over at the Hyatt Regency SFO in Burlingame. Not sure if I'm going to commute to the con (I live in Oakland, so this is just barely feasible) or go to a hotel or motel in Burlingame for the Con. Getting a room at the Hyatt Regency would be $125/night for a double or king. One problem I have is that I don't have a credit or debit card -- I
Just got back home from the 1130 showing of Zootopia and I have to say the hype was all worth it. I can see why most people gave it such a high rating! I loved it!
The My Little Pony Fandom is, at once, one of the most morbid and least moribund fandoms I know. It's one of the only fandoms I consider myself a part of, in no small part because the vast quantities of content created all but guarantees a reasonable amount of very high quality content. I'm sure I could easily fill an entire page in Word (well, LibreOffice Writer, really) with hyperlinks to pieces of art from the MLP fandom I really enjoy, not even counting pictures or music, for which I could
how so many people in this fandom follow the show so closely and devoutly then proceed to act completely against the lessons and morals it tries to teach y'all need another semester at the School of Friendship, swear to god
if you know you know
I am sad to say that Fight The Future is being put on hiatus. This is a story that I am co-writing with Deadpansnarker, who is one of the most talented writers that I have ever come across. However, Deadpansnarker has announced that he is leaving for a while. The reason he is leaving this site is because a bunch of whiny man-children would not stop harassing him over his story My Secret Daughter. It is a great story, but he got dozens of complaints from basement dwelling neckbeards about how he
With the announcement tonight that BronyCon will end for good after a four-day spectacular next year,* I thought I'd see a lot of "Oh, the fandom is over!" stuff, but to my slight surprise I haven't, and I'm pleased about that. The fandom has never been about one convention, however large and impressive. Are those of us who never went and never will not part of the fandom or something? Of course we're part of the fandom! Other cons will continue -- BABSCon said as much tonight -- and local
