Plans for the Future: Part 1 (Why I've Been Inactive)

I'm sure many of my readers have noticed that I have not updated any of my stories in a while. Though I have no intention of canceling any of them, I am putting them On Hiatus. This is less because of a lack of inspiration and ideas and more because of too much inspiration and ideas for new stories (including an idea for The Lunaverse, a Changeling Reveal story, and 5 Alternate 6 AUs). This is why I often make new stories instead of continuing stories I've already started.

Because of this hiatus on most of my stories, I'm officially placed them as On Hiatus. This way, I won't feel like I'm being pulled in several directions at once (or at least not as many directions). I may consider discontinuing The Alterverse, because one of my AUs is in fact a reconstruction of the general idea to make it feel more like my own rather than a Lunaverse rip-off. Basically, you could argue that it could be one of the alternate timelines created from the Season 5 Finale, since it stems from altering the events of the Sonic Rainboom. This new AU will be known as "The Great and Powerful Trixieverse" (I hope that title isn't too vague about who the primary focus will be on). My other AU ideas can at least take a back seat to the Trixieverse.

My other AUs include the "Youngverse" with the Young 6 as the Element Bearers, the "Fillyverse" with the canon Main 6 getting the Elements of Harmony when they're still just children, the "Parentverse" with the same premise (more or less) as the Fillyverse but with their parents getting the Elements (it occurs to me that there's a DBZ What-If on YouTube that has a similar idea, which I swear was unintentional when I thought up of the Parentverse), and the "CMCverse" with the CMCs (plus 3 others) becoming the Element Bearers. Names for these AUs are subject to change.

As for my Lunaverse idea, it's actually intended to be parallel to Crisis on Two Equestrias. That story was intended to leave open the possibility for a parallel story. It may be late in the game, but I do have an idea. It's implied that the rest of the L!6 were on their own adventure while Trixie was in the Maneverse. And though they will have a part to play in a way that doesn't make anything out of place, the focus will primarily be on Dinky. The story is intended to connect to the events of Foalish Misadventures. The alcohol/potion that Zecora made ends up spilling on some Poison Joke when she was being chased by the children of Ponyville. This results in the Poison Joke mutating. Fast forward to when Crisis happens, Dinky comes across this "Mutant Joke", not recognizing it as Poison Joke because of the mutation, the most obvious difference being the color. Basically, how this "Mutant Joke" works is not by afflicting Dinky with a prank-like affliction, but rather to use her to spread to others. The pollen of the Mutant Joke causes Dinky to sneeze, though this isn't random. Every time Dinky sneezes, she lets out a burst of magic. And this is where things get fun. The Mutant Joke doesn't afflict Dinky like normal Poison Joke would, it uses her to afflict others. Basically, this turns Dinky into Discord.

Examples of how Mutant Joke works:
Because Rainbow Dash is often tired and known for taking naps anytime anyplace, she'd be put into a neverending sleep Sleeping Beauty style.
Because Diamond Tiara has a crush on Scootaloo, Scootaloo would be Rule 63ed into a colt, causing DT to more or less have an aneurysm (or at least an anime-style nosebleed).
Because Ditzy is so motherly to Dinky, she'd be turned into a newborn foal who would need to be taken care of herself (diaper changes included).

And those are just a few examples of the chaos the Mutant Joke will create. But it gets worse. There's a set amount of time to create a cure for the Mutant Joke. When the time is up, rather than ending like what would normally happen with Poison Joke, the Mutant Joke's effects will become permanent. This means that Rainbow Dash will sleep herself to death, Scootaloo will forever be a colt with Diamond Tiara dehydrating herself with how much she drools over "him", Ditzy will forever be a foal Peter Pan style, and Dinky will forever be Discord 2.0. And nobody can be treated until after Dinky is, or else the cure won't have any effect on anyone else. And the Mutant Joke is aware enough to protect itself from the cure by making sure other ponies don't get near Ditzy, and if Ditzy tries herself, her magic will at some point destroy the cure.

I also have 3 ideas for possible Doctor Whooves YouTube Radio Plays, though technically they could all be considered a single series considering how Doctor Who and Regeneration work.

And these are just the MLP-related stuff I have in mind. I also have plans to make a YouTube channel dedicated to Dragon Ball What-Ifs, and already have a decent-sized list of What-Ifs already planned.

So yeah, my creative mind is being pulled in multiple directions at once at any given time. I suppose that's the curse that comes with creativity. I still have a passion for writing though, don't get me wrong. It's just that I always have a backlog of ideas, which is a good thing in my opinion. My only problem is that I come up with new ideas faster than I can get them on paper (and by "on paper", I of course mean typing them on my computer).

I'm sure there was something else I wanted to point out in this blog post, but I forgot. Either that or they were never planned in the first place. But I do have more to say that I'm gonna talk about in Part 2, since this is already getting long, and the topic can be split in this way.
