Plans for the Future: Part 2 (What to Look Forward To)

(Continued from Part 1)

So when I wrote Part 1 of this blog post, I didn't actually intend to split it into two parts, which is why I said nothing about Part 1 being referred to as Part 1 at the beginning of Part 1. But I didn't want to make a single blog post turn into an essay when all it was supposed to be was an update. And it works in two parts, Part 1 talking about the past, and Part 2 talking about the future.

I just felt like I needed to clarify that fact because I'm autistic and often feel like I need to explain things in full detail despite the fact that I hate it when people do that to me. I'm sorry for making myself a hypocrite, but that's just how my mind works. This clarification is a perfect example of this and how I tend to go on a tangent because I could have and should have ended this entire paragraph before the word "because". And just to make this paragraph a little longer, I didn't even need to clarify that I could've ended this paragraph early. But I suppose Twilight would be proud of my OCD at this point.

Part 2 should be shorter than Part 1 because I have less I need to talk about. I say "should" because with how this blog post is going so far, who knows how long Part 2 will end up.

Now to start the blog proper (4 paragraphs in), I'd like to talk about what you can look forward to when it comes to my content. There are 2 projects that I would like to focus on. The first has already been mentioned, which is the creation of the Trixieverse. I will talk about that later though. The second project I want to talk about is a Changeling Reveal story. I didn't mention this project in Part 1 because... okay, I didn't have a good reason to leave it out. That's just what I did.

This project is a story that I've titled "Outcasts". This is a Changeling Reveal story. There are enough of this type of story where it's hard to mind a way to make it original. Stories like these tend to come in 5 basic flavors:

1. Knowledge of being a Changeling (Example: Princess Celestia: The Changeling Queen)
2. Ignorance of being a Changeling (Example: Forever a Changeling)
3. Knowledge of being a Changeling but ignorant of what Changelings are before the Royal Wedding (Example: The Irony of Applejack)
4. Turning into a Changeling (Example: Of the Hive)
5. Hybridization. (Example: The Three Sisters)

(And yes, this is also a recommendation list.)
There are some of these categories that can be interchangeable, like 4 and 5 (for example, both examples used can be replaced with each other). Some of the categories can intermingle (for example, Forever a Changeling can also be listed in 4). And then there are categories that are mutually exclusive, specifically 1 and 2.

And for almost every Changeling Reveal story, the catalyst is the Royal Wedding. In Princess Celestia: The Changeling Queen, Forever a Changeling, and The Three Sisters, the reveal was at the wedding itself. The Irony of Applejack and Of the Hive don't have the reveal at the wedding, but the wedding is the catalyst for what's to come.

Outcasts will be taking the two mutually exclusive categories and combining them. This is by making two reveals instead of just one.

Premise:

When Rarity was invited to the wedding of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armor to design the wedding dress for the bride, and later to be a bridesmaid, she was absolutely ecstatic! But when Queen Chrysalis chose to crash the wedding, a deep dark secret is revealed about Rarity… a secret she hoped would never be revealed.

When Sweetie Belle was invited to the wedding of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armor along with her fellow Cutie Mark Crusaders to be flower girls, she was absolutely excited! But when the bride is revealed to be a monster in disguise, a deep dark secret is revealed about Sweetie Belle… a secret she didn’t even know she was keeping.

How will the Element bearers react to their friend’s secret?… How will the CMCs react to their friend’s secret?… And now that their secrets are revealed, who will protect them?

Friendships and familial bonds will be tested as a divide is created from the confusion.

The idea is that Rarity and Sweetie Belle are both revealed as Changelings. They were adopted by Hondo Flanks and Cookie Crumble after learning that Cookie was barren. They know that Rarity and Sweetie Belle aren't ponies, but they adopted them anyway. Sweetie Belle is too young to remember being a Changeling (that and Rarity erased any memories she may have had of before they were adopted). Rarity adopted the name "Rarity" after Cookie referred to her as a rarity. And she named Sweetie Belle after they referred to her as a sweetie. Before adopting the name Rarity, her name was Damselfly. She's a Queen/Proto-Queen who's Chrysalis's daughter. She became a rival Queen in Chrysalis's eyes when she had a clutch of eggs of her own. In order to avoid Chrysalis's malicious intentions, "Damselfly" managed to save one of the eggs and flee. This egg is what became Sweetie Belle, making Sweetie Belle Rarity's daughter (the father later revealed to be Thorax).

At the wedding when the love shield is made, it strips the disguises of Rarity and Sweetie Belle. They are sent to the dungeons to be questioned. Twilight keeps a level head so that she can question Rarity without bias. Applejack and Twilight take Rarity's side, as well as Fluttershy who takes Sweetie's side. Rainbow Dash sides with Shining armor against the newly revealed Changelings. And Pinkie Pie... is Pinkie Pie. The CMCs are still supportive of Sweetie Belle, but confused and feeling a little betrayed at Sweetie not sharing that secret with them (thinking that Sweetie didn't know about being a Changeling).

I've already given away too much in my opinion, but perhaps this will allow you to be interested in how things will turn out.

Next, I'll talk about the Great and Powerful Trixieverse. I named it that because you know that Trixie would name it that if she could (and yes, it can be abbreviated to just "Trixieverse" for the sake of conventionality).

The premise of the Trixieverse is that during the Sonic Rainboom, something changed. The first change is that Fluttershy (Kindness) did not fall to the ground, but simply hung on for her life to that cloud she was on. Rainbow performed the Sonic Rainboom, but this caused her to go out of control. In an attempt to save Rainbow, Fluttershy kicked off of the cloud she was on just as the Rainboom hit, causing a bizarre "Rainbow Storm" to spread across Equestria. It also caused a bolt of lightning to strike Fluttershy, supercharging her to catch up to Rainbow Dash and save her. They both ended up crashing to the ground, but alive. They were found by Zecora (Generosity) who treated their wounds to the best of her abilities. But she could only do so much. RD's wing had to be amputated, as well as both of Fluttershy's hind legs from the lightning bolt. They later get mechanical prosthetics. When Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy wake up, they see that they now have their cutiemarks.

In Manehatten, Surprise (Laughter) is with her father as he was clearing the skies. That's when the Rainbow Storm hits. Surprise tries to kick one of the Rainbow Clouds away. But instead of breaking apart, it just causes an electric shock through Surprise. It's mild enough that it only tickles, and she goes around to other ponies with one of the clouds and tickles them with the Rainbow Lightning. Earning her her cutiemark.

At the edge of the Pie family rock farm, Rarity has been dragged by her horn to find... a rock. She then comes across Maud Pie (Honesty) who was trying to figure out something about the rock. The Rainbow Storm rolled in and struck the rock, leaving a hole in the top where the two fillies could see something shining. Maud then kicks the rock to reveal the geode inside. Maud and Rarity then become friends after that. Rarity later makes the costumes for the pageant and earns her cutie mark.

In the Noble district of Canterlot, Vinyl Scratch (Loyalty) was having trouble with inspiration for music. She comes from a line of classical musicians, which was why she was struggling. She then saw the Rainbow Storm roll through, and a bolt of rainbow lightning stuck her in the throat. The damage to her vocal cords made her mute, but the colors in the sky inspired her. Rather than going with Classical music, she took a more modern approach. She then came up with rave music. After getting input from her sister, Octavia, and earning her cutiemark, she presented her creation to her parents, who unfortunately didn't take it well.

At Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, there were two tests going on in two rooms across from each other at the same time. One of them was Twilight Sparkle who was trying to hatch a dragon egg. In the other room, the same test is being given to Trixie Lulamoon (Magic). When the Rainbow Storm rolls over the school, a rainbow bolt of lightning struck down and into the school, traveled through the halls to where the two classrooms were, split into two, and entered both classrooms and hit both the fillies, causing them both to have a magic surge. Where Twilight's surge was based on raw magical prowess (generally the same as in canon), Trixie was trying to hatch the egg by using cloths to make a makeshift incubator that was heated with her magic. Her magic surge didn't have a vast amount of raw magic to draw from, so her magic started to draw from the other ponies in the room, specifically from her mother, all being directed into the cloth incubator. She successfully hatches the egg to reveal, not a dragon, but an insectoid (that would later be named Ocellus). These magic surges catch the attention of Celestia, who comes and stops the magic flows. She then accepted both Trixie and Twilight as her personal students and pointed out their new cutiemarks (after a visit to the hospital, since they were struck by lightning after all). Unfortunately for Trixie, she had pulled too much energy from her mother, who passed away. However, the magic was infused into the cloth Trixie was using as the incubator, this cloth being a blue wizard's cloak. Basically, Trixie now has the Cloak of Levitation from Doctor Strange.

Twilight and Trixie grow up together in this AU. But because of that Rainbow Lightning strike, their fates were bound together in an interesting way. If one of them is destined for something, that destiny is then shared with the other. It's more complicated than that, but explaining their Destiny Bond would be an essay in and of itself. And as you may have guessed, Ocellus will be Trixie's version of Spike.

So to clarify, the Trixieverse 6 will be:

• Trixie Lulamoon (Magic)
• Vinyl Scratch (Loyalty)
• Fluttershy (Kindness)
• Surprise (Laughter)
• Maud Pie (Honesty)
• Zecora (Generosity)

I believe I'd be the first to make Surprise, Maud Pie, and Zecora as Element Bearers. I mean, I suppose you could argue that the comics did that for Zecora first, but these are the OG Elements (I don't know how that'll affect the Trixieverse Season 10 Comics, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it). I'm surprised that nobody has made Surprise one of the Elements (specifically the Element of Laugher for obvious reasons). If you want to get into canonicity, she's in the comics, and the comics are canon. She's just a clone of Pinkie Pie with Pegasus wings and a new coat of paint. If you want to disregard the comics, then take into account that in the show, she is canonically one of the Wonderbolts. As for Maud Pie, I get why this would be difficult to place as an Element Bearer. But Maud is basically the Element of Blunt Honesty since she is so literally about everything. I don't even know if Maud knows how to lie.

So yeah, I removed the "What If Luna Won" scenario from the Alterverse, and made a few modifications as you can clearly see. Yeah, some of their stories are sad, seeing as Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were disfigured, Vinyl Scratch was rejected by her parents, and Trixie basically killed her own mother during a magic surge.
