Spoilers, I'm reading Duck and Cover right now, and as always happens when I get balls-deep back into the 'verse, I start thinking about my own planned contributions to it. Well, except that D&C is such good satire, I'm kind of regretting having dropping the hundred or so bucks for that one piece of cover art back in the day. c.c;

This is just another small update regarding what's been going on, nothing major, but just writing to say that i'm still alive.
So, I have 83 followers, right?
Chances are, at least five of them are because of my stories. But that still leaves 78.
There are also high chances that 10 of them are because I added their stories to my shelves, but that is still 68.
So why, then, do my reviews, on average, get a view count of 40?
It's just something I find interesting.
Oh, and I have been slacking more than I'd like on getting more of those reviews out. Sorry.

well, 2017 was... something. It's hard to believe that it's been just over a year since I've put up my first story on fimfiction. I wouldnt say I was very successful, far from it, but I did something, and even made new friends, like the author of The Iron Horse, my favorite fanfiction (except Fallout: Equestria) TheHatman. And the guy who illustrated his work, Greenfinger.
Wait, I'm certain there was a point to this- OH, YEAH.

So, in preparation for covering the Grimm Eclipse content in SAPR I thought that it might be a good idea for me to actually play RWBY: Grimm Eclipse and my God is it a slog to get through in single player (if the intent was to vividly bring home why huntsmen are assigned to four-man teams: good job!); even in normal difficulty...okay, I'm not the best gamer in the world but it doesn't seem right that such a simple button masher should be so difficult. How is it that beowolves are so
Failure is a monster. It roars and bites, and it either kills you or you win.
Failure is Present. Everything you do is something your not perfect at, and it's something that surrounds you. You can't outrun it and eventually, you're just tired.
After a while, failure doesn't fight you. It crushes you, makes it so you can't breath, and pins you to the ground. And there's nothing you can do.
But failure is normal. Everyone deals with it, so that means it can't be insurmountable.
What the heck happened?
I used to have these monochrom FluttersShy faces selected for my favorite tabs, and for each of my library tab things. Now they've all been replaced by shitty emojis! If I wanted emojis, I would have selected emojis.
As is, it feels like I was handed a head sized lolly, then slapped in the face just as I was getting into it. Then handed a chunk of poop on a stick.
Fun Fact: You know bridges have been burnt when your own parents admit to wishing that they'd aborted you and were very much still considering it.

When Season 4 ended, I was saying that their increasing inability to write a solid adventure story was dragging the show down, and I'd like a greater emphasis on Slice Of Life.
Now I'd take a dozen Twilight's Kingdom-esque messes, just so long as there are actual stakes again. And please stop ramming Flurry Heart down our throats.
Season 5 was good about this, though. It wasn't until 6 that things really started to drag, and it looks like 7 is off to a bad start.

Well, trying to be a busy little beaver dragon this week and spend my free time doing productive things instead of browsing the Internet and wasting time procrastinating. It is invigorating to throw myself into things, and I wonder just what it is that keeps trying to pull me back into the petty and frivolous when I could be doing far more enjoyable things.
Is it base human nature?
Is it fear of actually trying?
Is it just the ease of consuming the easily digested?
Ah, well.
I'm admittedly very curious why my just-released story for the Summer Sin Celebration is one of the lowest-rated stories in the bunch (15th percentile), because I feel that it's well-written, cohesive, interesting, and sexy.
How could anybuggy say no to that adorable tsundere buggo face?
