The TL;DR of it - was fine. A good film on its own merits, but as a live-action adaptation of the animated classic, inferior. I'm not one of those puritans who sniffs the original is always better, but that's the case here. There are parts and elements of it that work well and improve on some parts of the original, but as a whole, the original is better. Just got back from 5 days of field work. I'm tired, covered in scratches and cuts, probably a little sunburnt, and have just stopped hurting when I walk.
