Sunny Day, the beautiful picture makes me turn around.
Afternoon everyone.
Alright, this time it's really over. The epilogue is someting I'd planned to do for Super, but half way through writing chapter 7 of this, I made some implications, and I wanted those to be explained without a sequel story. tying up lose ends while maybe leaving in room for a sequel that would be nothing like this story was. but that would definitely be in the far future. I have two stories I'll be focusing on next, and I need to reread, proof and format the master copy of Star Overhead so it's ready to print in the next couple weeks.
In other news, Super should resume starting around the 17th or the 24th, depending on how much I read over the next couple weeks. The next chapter of that story is literally the wedding, and it's been about two months since I've even looked at the thing. I know how I get when I reread these things though, so I may just open up the third Kaiju (which is where I think I stopped editing it after realizing the work required) and read up to the present.
Tangentially related news, My grandfather died on May 31st, 2019. He was 86 years old, two months from reaching 87, and lost a battle with cancer. I've come to realize, after thinking back on him, how much of him I put into my older characters in this story. The wise old stallions, the grandfathers, the fathers, they all had a lot of his influence in them, and Citrus in particular was heavily based on my grandfather, and I hadn't even realized it. I think I'll write my own tribute story to him later on, but I still haven't quite categorized my feelings on all of this just yet, and I've been kind of numb for the last couple days.
Anyways, that's all from me. I'm still dealing with the funeral as I type, so that's it for now.
