Twilight Sparkle is undeniably a prodigy and has the skill and knowledge of a unicorn five years her elder as well as the power of one as well. This knowledge and power has drawn Princess Celestia's attention, with the alicorn beginning to wonder if the young unicorn will be the one to fulfill an ancient prophecy that would save her sister. A prophecy that would have come to fruition, had the alicorn's own checkered past not come back to doom the filly to a life of fire and brimstone.

I saw the signs. I saw the proof. I should have acted, swallowed my pride, told Celestia it was all my fault. But I was scared. Scared for my title, my freedom. If I wasn't so selfish, Fluttershy would be here with us. But she's not. I stare at the blood sucking creature with her face, and yet not her face. What monster have I allowed to flourish? I feel guilt. I have cost countless ponies lives. Fluttershy included. I have no voice, but I must scream. No one knows I am responsible, but I keep hearing the same sentence over and over again.

This is the headcanon idea of my sister's. She asked me to write a story for it and here it is. You can check out the image she drew for it HERE.

Over a thousand years ago, the Crystal Empire fell. A darkness had invaded and to protect the kingdom, the princess was sent away, only to return when she was ready for her throne. A king rose from the turmoil to take the throne and led the kingdom with fear and darkness, and the ponies suffered until two sisters saved them by sealing them away. This is the story of the empire's fall.

Once Long ago an earth pony harpist lived in Canterlot, but when Celestia banished her sister to the moon she unwittingly also affected the life of somepony else. Yet the mare would do something that would show her devotion to the Princess of the Night, and the right to be remembered.
