Applejack is in love.

Having fought against her desires and hidden her sexuality for far too long, Applejack comes to terms with the prospect she has fallen hard for a certain young princess she believes is way out of her league.

"It's not easy being in love." It's a common phrase you'll hear anypony in love say. But when you're an Element of Harmony, love is even harder. Why is it so hard to realise something that's been there for years? Why is it so easy for one to say what one feels to everypony but the one you love? Why is it that nothing can be 'Normal' for Applejack and Rainbow Dash?

This is my submition to the Appledash Fanfic contest of the Appledash group.

"Why are you late?" questioned Applejack. Her countenance continued to wrinkle in worry.

"Because this is not an appointment, Applejack. There were others close to you that required my attention," responded Death

Others close to you that required my attention. Disbelief roiled inside Applejack. Her entire body turned hot, then cold, then hot again. Anger rose within her, so great it seared the breath from her lungs. She turned to Death screaming, "Who did you take th—" That's when she saw it.

Sweet Apple Acres was on fire.

All Applejack wanted was to complete her chores so she could help Rarity and the girls with the Ponyville Days Festival. Maybe even get a little bit of advertisement for Sweet Apple Acres. Unfortunately, anything that involves Rarity will most likely include drama. Applejack soon finds herself hiding from a stalker, traveling writer with an obsessed crush on her and a jealous friend with a stereotypical view of her country life. At the same time, she has to try and keep her relationship with a certain rainbow haired pegasus a secret.

She should have stayed in the chicken coop.

Twilight's plans for a sleepover are tested when most of her guests have to cancel, but Applejack convinces her they can have fun together with just each other's company. Twilight's not used to giving up control, but sometimes going with the flow can open up a world of new experiences.

A (belated) birthday present for bookplayer.

Applejack has never missed a meal on purpose before, let alone a Pie Day dinner – that glorious day of the week serving Granny's famed hot, fresh apple pie. So why was Applejack absent at the dining table today, of all days? Little does the rest of the family know, Applejack's a lot closer than they think – she's in her bedroom, nervously pacing around and building up the courage to perform the single hardest thing she's ever done.

What is this herculean task that not even Applejack can overcome?

This story is a sequel to The Irony of Applejack

The secret's finally out. All of Equestria knows about Applejack's true identity, and the identities of her fellow changelings.
But even with all of the new responsibilities being laid upon the young changeling, surely asking for one day of normalcy – a single day of celebration and pageantry amongst her closest friends – couldn't be too much to ask for, right?
Right?

Set between the events of The Irony of Applejack and it's sequel, The Advent of Applejack.

For most of Applejack's life, she didn't know what she was. True, she understood who she was well enough.
But ponies don't change shapes, nor do they get strength from love.
Applejack never thought too hard on it... until the events of a certain wedding brought about some harsh realizations.
Now, with Equestria still reeling from the surprise attack, will Applejack manage to come to terms with what she is? Will she even be able to keep her secret safe?
For if the royal guards don't get her first, the conspirators in the shadows just might...
