This story is a sequel to It's a Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door

The great adventure achieved its goal. Twilight Sparkle was cured of her deadly horn rot, her friends came back safely, and everything can go back to normal.

Except, of course, that such an upheaval is never truly forgettable. It leaves its mark on all who take part in it, touching and changing them in ways they may not, at the time, completely understand. Like the pressure in the earth that turns coal into diamonds, the stresses of disaster--or its near aversion--alter the natures of ponies, and alter the relationships between them. Twilight Sparkle, on a seemingly ordinary day, is about to learn that first hand.

This story has been floating around since shortly after Dangerous Business' completion. At the time, I envisioned it as the first in what would be a whole cycle of stories, building up to a monumental, multi-story tale very similar to what eventually became Besides the Will of Evil. It's not quite 'canon' to BTWOE--for one thing, Twilight and Spike's relationship here isn't what it is in there, since the later clarifications by the showrunners were taken into account with the later story. However, I like to think that the spirit of this story still informs the later, larger story. Astute readers will also see a clarification of something that was only hinted at in BTWOE. I hope old readers enjoy their fond memories, and that new readers enjoy what has long been a fan favorite.

Zecora gives Rarity a rare and beautiful plant, but unbeknownst to the zebra and unicorn at the time, perhaps the gift may soon prove to be far more trouble than it's worth.

This one-shot was written as a challenge to myself. The goal was the create a 'lost episode' that could take place within the series cannon and feel like an actual episode of the show.

Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle have been accidentally locked in a vault in the Royal Canterlot Bank. With the vault soundproof, windowless, and immune to magic and even Pinkie’s methods of… Pinkie-ness, they cannot escape for several hours. They use this time for shenanigans and introspection.

The bubbly and over-enthusiastic Pinkie Pie has always had difficulty understanding social cues and graces, but her and her friends have always perceived it as simply being Pinkie's fun-loving personality.

However, after a recent evaluation from a doctor reveals Pinkie has high-functioning Autism, she fears the worst from her friends. What would happen if they didn't like her anymore because of her mental disability?

Thankfully, those fears are put to rest after discovering all of her friends love and support her for who she is... except for one problem - she hasn't told Fluttershy yet!

Seeing as the shy and quiet mare is already super sensitive, Pinkie fears that her admittance to the disability will cause her to think she is weird or stupid; though when Fluttershy worriedly checks up on the pink party pony after a strange and unusual absence from her hyperactive friend, she knows she must spill.

How will her pegasus pal react to the shocking news?

After an argument, Rainbow Dash and Applejack decide to hold another Iron Pony competition. But Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Princess Twilight and even Fluttershy decide to get in on the contest, and the competition builds into a fierce battle to prove that they can beat each other at their individual talents. But pitting the six of them against each other in contests of flying or worse, dressmaking, could be a very bad idea...

The Mane 6 get their heads into a game of hide and seek all across Ponyville and it's up to Fluttershy to try and track the others down and claim a sweet and glorious prize.

Fluttershy is on the hunt for her friends across town in an otherwise yearly game of hide & seek and has only a few hours to try and track them all down, but there's one character she really has to look out for and that's Pinkie Pie of course.

The wagered item, a rare dessert that most of the friends only get to see once in a blue moon and it goes to the grand winner of the game, either the mare who hides without getting caught until time's up or the mare who finds everypony before sundown.

Will Fluttershy track everypony down before Celestia lowers the sun? Will Pinkie unintentionally hog all the sweets for her self? Will I bother to ask a 3rd question?

He gives the best hugs, and he's sweet, and gives the best hugs, and he's friendly, and gives the best hugs, and he really is such a great stallion! Also, did Pinkie mention the hugs?

Pinkie's friends quickly figure out she appreciates Snuggles for more than just his hugs. The Party Pony, Pinkie, has a crush. Unfortunately, Pinkie has never had a crush before. Does her crush like her back? What do you do with a crush? Why is it called a crush when it feels more like a squish?

Maybe she needs some help from her friends. Just in case. After all, nopony's ever gotten hurt with a crush? Right? ...Right?

Twilight Sparkle wishes to make this Hearth's Warming Eve perfect. To do this she comes up with the plan of getting all her friends this year something they had been needing. But she quickly finds that this task is harder than it sounds as problems present themselves. But at the end she realizes that it's not gifts that matter...

It's friendship.
