In a universe where ponies have discovered the means to travel among the stars, an empire arose. Lead by Princess Celestia, ponykind reached out. As prophesied, there came a time when Nightmare Moon returned, threatening to bring darkness to the shining kingdom. Six brave ponies, wielding the Elements of Harmony stopped her, and peace reigned once more. Soon however, Luna found the atrocities her sister had committed in controlling her empire and staving off the threats to it. Outraged, she set in motion thousand year old plans that she thought would never be needed.

This is the story of two empires, and the the war between them.

It's been two and a half years since Twilight Sparkle returned from the other world, leaving Sunset Shimmer in the company of the alternate group of friends she made. However, not all has gone well for her one-time rival in the other world. On the night of the 30th moon, Sunset emerges from the mirror and uses an ancient relic to switch their bodies. Alone in the care of Sunset's overbearing ex-tutor, Twilight uncovers the forgotten past that drove her rival to such desperation, while back in Ponyville, Sunset struggles with Twilight's lifestyle clashing with her own dreams.

When Sunset Shimmer lost her position as Princess Celestia's personal protege, she set forth with a plan to become stronger than Celestia could ever imagine. This plan involved traveling through a mirror, that took her to a land far different than she could have ever expected. This is the story of the years she spent in this new world.

An Equestria Girls prequel fic, focusing on what happened when Sunset Shimmer came to the human world. Where she lived, how she handled it, how she adjusted, and how she became who she was by the time Equestria Girls came to be.

"I've got crabs."

Those three little words, spoken to Rainbow Dash over the phone, set Canterlot High School on fire.

Because even though most of the student body has forgiven Sunset Shimmer for her past transgressions and she has more friends than ever now, some gossip is just too juicy to ignore.

Besides, everybody's more than a little curious as to the finer details--and who else might be dealing with the same problem.

Twilight and Sunset are good friends. Some might even say they are the best of friends. Connected by a magic mirror, the two begin to experiment with the idea of being something more than friends.

However, this idea is made more complicated when said magic mirror begins to mysteriously crack, and if it keeps cracking, it will seal the gateway between the two worlds forever. In order to make sure that doesn't happen, Sunset returns to Equestria to help find a way to stop it. Will she and Twilight succeed, or will they have to say goodbye to their friends at Canterlot High forever? Will they make new friends along the way? All they know for sure is that they have to try.

Sunset Shimmer had never been what some may call and "upstanding" pony, not until she met Twilight Sparkle. She was cruel and cold hearted, self absorbed and convinced of her own greatness. Now, with the help of her friends, she has to figure out why she's suddenly a pony in a human world, and whether or not she can become human again...or will have to leave her new life and go back to Equestria.
